If I hadn't put it on I would have been the only person in the shop without one on. (One service Aldi guy didnt have his on)

Why oh why are you surprised? I've been telling you for over a week that feck all would change today and it hasn't. I'm enjoying a few days away with the missis in mid Devon and although masks are apparent everybody is saying that they haven't had any covid in the 1st 2nd or apparent nuclear 3rd wave and can't wIt to get back to normal. Anyway my beer is getting alarm off for another pub meal tonight will wear mask at the bar to protect staff then get fed and pissed. Enjoy howling at the Moon though.

Plenty of people in Morrisons without masks this afternoon-a minority admittedly but a sizeable one. Good to be able to do some pre covid normalities at golf today, no masks in the clubhouse, no distancing, could shake hands afterwards and all the rest of it-permanently may it continue.

Hardly any non-mask wearers in Sainsbury's this afternoon.
Wouldn't know today us any different to yesterday.

Masks were worn today by most of the staff and customers at the hotel I work at.

Some staff were saying they would prefer the barriers were left in place.

At the end of the day you wear a mask to give a degree of pretection to others. It demonstrates your good will and basic common sense, in the current climate. Rejoicing at not wearing a mask in a shop is a bit odd, it’s not a chainmail suit is it?

Only noticed one old boy in B&Q not wearing a mask, saw just a couple in Morrisons without mask but Morrisons have been pretty slack for weeks, entrance and exit not segregated, quite often sanitizer machines outside the entrance have been empty.

Some would say a bit odd, others would say that it represents a very small step away from the fear and paranoia which seems to have ingrained itself on a population scared witless by the blood curling worst case scenarios propagated by sage and their acolytes. There's certainly been a u turn by some government minsters who a week or so ago were saying that they couldn't wait to get rid of their masks but who now appear to have been arse and face coveringly affected by the doomsday prognosis of Professor Whitty and co. Going back in time, it is interesting to recall that there was no requirement to wear a mask before the reopening of non essential shops which from memory was early June 2020-from March 2020 until that date the supermarkets were teeming with maskless customers and yet the infection rate was reduced massively during that period. However, wearing masks did nothing to stop the infection rates increasing during subsequent periods, which would beg the question as to whether the WHO were correct in their original opinion that masks in fact make very little difference to the covid scenario.

If you are st the euros with a recent negative test then chances are you would have caught COVID meanwhile in mid Devon just been to the Duke of York iddisliegh no masks at all. Young staff said too hot for masks and we literally haven't known anyone to have it all the way through. As said before and as Czarks alludes to it isn't a problem to pop a mask on if needed. Appazza Prince Charles and Camilla are visiting Wednesday to pay homage to all the free meals they have done throughout lockdown will be interesting to see masks or no masks.
Since we went away my youngest is having to self isolate due to a labourer who went to Euros then Majorca has got the bug caused carnage. He will get off self isolation in time to have a week off he thinks its great.

i have to say there were alot of people wearing masks in shops i was in this morning in town and almost all where wearing them on the bus.
