I was looking for Mondays extended covid infection numbers where we had the most cases in Europe which unbelievably exceeded all the rest combined but this will do....

WTF are we doing here ???  What the feck is this Government doing about it bar hiding in fridges and Villas FFS

What do you want? More tiers introduced? You'd just ignore them like last time. Another lockdown? The whole country would go bankrupt and I along with most of the rest of the country would tell Boris to fook off.
Anyway most of the cases are kids in school which aren't getting sick and getting herd immunity to boot.
So seriously what would you do?

It was doing the same thing we always do like Blair did with foot and mouth, first you pretend there is no problem, foot and mouth it was "the countryside is open for business" Covid it was "herd immunity lets all shake hands" then you get a massive over reaction, contiguous culls when they couldn't even keep up with shooting sick animals and with Covid lockdowns when the problem had already got out of hand with selfish cnuts deciding they had to have Christmas with relatives in Nottingham despite the obvious risks to the elderly although self same selfish cnuts just blame that on Boris.

If that was a decision taken in isolation, (locking down late) and everything else was super proactive, then I’d cut the government some slack. But there was so much more that was catastrophically mismanaged, it’s very difficult to defend a lot of those decisions. I’m not a rabid Harv-style mentalist. I’m actually fully of the opinion that if the Labour Circus was making the decisions, we’d probably have been looking at a far worse outcome.

But having a missus and daughter both working at Derriford hospital all through Covid, gave me an insight into just how grossly unprepared we were for it all.

What we could be doing is much more testing than other countries,

For example, the data the ECDC collects on the UK includes "surveillance" tests used to track where the virus is spreading, but it is not clear how many other countries do the same.
Between 9 March and 20 September, its data shows:
The UK did more than 19.7m tests
Germany did 15.5m tests
Italy did 10m tests
France did 10.6m tests
These tests are just antigen tests - the ones you use to find out if you currently have the virus.

All over 50s will now be seeing the jabs they had earlier in the year waning  , and as reported , the over 50s are getting the virus.  


The government are acting as if it were all over , done and dusted. Wales , Scotland and NI still have covid restrictions in place , so hats off to them. There are millions in England who have not yet heard anything on when they will get a booster jab and for many that is a dangerous situation.


Sadly , covid case numbers in England will continue to rise over the winter months and when you add in the flu/the common cold , it will be an awful winter for a great number.

So yet again what you have the government do not forgetting that although infections are high hospitilasations and deaths are not?

Office for national statistics,

The number of deaths registered in England in the week ending 17 September 2021 (Week 37) was 10,322; this was 30 less deaths than the previous week (Week 36) and 18.5% above the five-year average (1,614 more deaths).

At the moment we are having about 150 deaths per week from Covid which equals approx 1000 odd per week and 4000 per month against a figure of about 40,000 for the month from all causes. So roughly 10% of deaths at the moment are from Covid and these are mainly from elderly or uninoculated over fifties but mainly people with serious illness already like heart disease, cancer ect.
I reckon the extra 600 deaths a week above the five year average must be down to people not getting diagnosed with heart disease/cancer due to Covid collapsing the health care system.
I can't see any reason to panic at the moment let alone dragging Johnson off in chains to the high court.
