The CSKA website have denied that Carey is leaving, and say he has had a virus. Google translate of their announcement-
Army men,
The "credible" news about the upcoming split with offensive midfielder Graham Kerry is not true. And she is that the football player was devastated by a viral illness and that is why he did not participate in the last two team inspections with Victoria Pilsen and Jablonec. Everything else is interpretations and cheap sensations of media claiming objectivity.

Just there to see if he can keep them up, I expect.
Work in Middlesbrough or spend a peaceful retirement in Stoke Climsland? Tough decision.

So, does he have to sell up and move to Middlesbrough to prove his heart is in it?

my guess he will be there to see out the season then leave no matter what. Given his age he cant be seen as a long term appointment for Middlesborough who im sure are going to start looking for a more long term appointment for next season.
Ryan Lowe probably a shoeing for that job naturally

Swindon Town and Plymouth Argyle ‘could look’ to swoop for Portsmouth striker Brett Pitman this summer
The experienced is set to become a free agent with his contract at Fratton Park expiring.
Pitman, who is 32 years old, has been with Pompey for the past three seasons in League One and has scored 42 goals in 99 games in all competitions for Kenny Jackett’s side.
Both Swindon and Plymouth will be playing in the third tier in the next campaign and could see him as someone to bolster their attacking options.
Pitman started his career with AFC Bournemouth and scored 62 goals in 197 appearances for the Cherries during his first spell there.
He was then snapped up by Bristol City in August 2010 for a fee in the region of £1 million. He adapted well to life in the Championship with the Robins and bagged a combined 20 goals in his first two seasons at Ashton Gate.
He moved back to Bournemouth in 2012 in League One and was prolific to help them gain promotion from the third tier to the Premier League in the space of three years. However, he left the Cherries in the Premier League and joined Ipswich Town in 2015.
Pitman stayed at Portman Road for two years before signing for Portsmouth. He has been a useful player for Jackett’s side over the past three years and has scored goals, though he will be weighing up his next move now.

Jake Jervis and Lloyd Jones are being released by Luton tomorrow.
How we ever got £125k for Jervis (who I think only had 6 months left on his contract) was one of the best deals Argyle have done in recent years, for a league 2 standard player.

Sounds like RL is organised for the new season, when it comes. “One thing I’m happy about we have got a squad anyway – we have got 16/17 players if the season was to start next week! “We will keep looking, we will keep working. The recruitment policy stays the same in terms of what type of player we need. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

What's the policy?
"Must have played in same team as or be mates with the Manager"

Oxford have announced on twitter that Jamie Mackie is retiring from football. I will always remember his debut (v Burnley) with him scoring 2 quick goals to win us the game 2-1. His goal against Reading wasn't bad either (its on the below clip around 06:40)

Remi Matthews trained with the Ipswich Town goalkeepers today as the Blues returned to Playford Road for their first session since March.
Matthews, who lives locally, trained with Ipswich earlier today, having been given permission by manager Paul Lambert after asking to link up with the Blues to keep himself fit as he looks for a new club.

Plymouth Argyle are targetting the signing of Scottish midfielder Lewis Macleod, according to reports.
The 26-year-old was at Championship outfit Wigan last season and newly promoted Argyle are hoping to land the midfielder this summer.
They have already signed energetic midfielder Panutche Camara from Crawley Town and goalkeeper Luke McCormick has returned to Home Park from Swindon.
They now appear to be making a move to sign Macleod, after the player made 12 appearances for troubled Wigan last season.
25-year-old midfielder scored three goals in the Sky Bet Championship last season.
Macleod is a former Scotland youth international who came through the ranks at Rangers FC.
1. Born 16 June 1994, Lewis Macleod came through the academy at Rangers, having played junior football with Livingston. He made his Rangers debut as an 18-year-old in a 4-0 victory over East Fife in the Scottish League Cup in August 2012.
2. One of a number of young players given opportunities in Rangers' side as they began their ascent from the bottom tier of Scottish football back to the Premiership, Macleod scored three goals and claimed five assists in 23 appearances in 2012-13, with his first goal coming against Montrose in September 2012. Lewis won Rangers' Young Player of the Year award as his side claimed the Division Three title.
3. Macleod continued to excel in the 2013-14 season, scoring three goals in the opening five matches of Rangers' Scottish League One title-winning campaign. He scored five in total in 21 games and set up four goals.
4. Across the Scottish Championship and Scottish League Cup, Macleod scored eight times and claimed six assists in half a season in 2014-15, including notching against the likes of Hibernian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and St. Johnstone.
5. In December 2014, following such a good start to his season, Macleod was snapped up by Brentford FC, who were managed by future Rangers manager Mark Warburton - he went on to make his debut in February 2016 against Brighton & Hove Albion.
6. Macleod claimed four assists in 13 appearances in 2016-17 as Brentford finished 10th in the Sky Bet Championship.
7. In 2017-18, Macleod scored his first goal for the Bees in a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough. That season, he helped Brentford to another mid-table finish in the Championship in ninth place.
8. Macleod scored on the opening day of the 2018-19 campaign in a 5-1 victory against Rotherham United at Griffin Park and also claimed an assist. He netted three times last season and set up two goals, with his final appearance of the campaign coming against Latics in a 0-0 draw at the DW Stadium.
9. Lewis has been capped internationally by Scotland at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U21 levels. He was handed a senior call-up in November 2014, but was an unused substitute for a friendly against England.
10. Macleod has scored 20 goals and provided 21 assists in 119 appearances in all competitions in club football.

What on earth happened to Lewis Macleod? By Ibrox Noise
The tale of Lewis Macleod really is a sad one for us Rangers fans – a sad, bittersweet tale of a player lost to the call of money, and who never wanted to leave. The-now 25-year old has had a frankly horrible career in England’s Championship for Brentford, then Wigan, and it remains absolute that the strongest period of his time in senior football was for his boyhood team at the Famous Glasgow Rangers.
5 and a half years on from his move south, Macleod has only played 55 further matches in professional football to add to his 76 at Ibrox in which he was absolutely the darling of Govan and billed as the future of the club.
And the honest truth is Lewis Macleod truly was, and is, good enough to be a player for Rangers, one good enough to play at the top levels of football.
He was of course sold on financial grounds – then-CEO Charles Green wanted the near-million for him, and the Wishaw-born youngster was shipped south to Brentford despite an injury at the time.
He didn’t want to leave, and it broke his heart. But as a professional, he got on with it, and the Championship was a definite step up from the Scottish equivalent.
But injury derailed him. It never let him achieve his true potential, nor did the move – for all Macleod is an outstanding footballer, being wrenched away from his home as a 20-year old lad who didn’t want to move on was not conducive to his heart being in it, and it didn’t help his injury issues either.
He’s played so few times in the past half-decade, and now he’s a bench warmer or a fringe player at Wigan – 15 matches, no goals, no assists.
We know he’s better than that, much better.
Sadly he’s never reached the heights he should have.
What a crying waste.

Sounds like he is/was a talented lad. I’m not sure how he’d stand up to a full season though injury-wise when he’s averaged 10 games a season for the last five years. It’d be a calculated risk signing him.

Sold to BRENTFORD for big bucks? Think someone's had a bit too much Buckie.
Weren't Brentford big on using Analytics at one time? Perhaps he rates highly on that criteria.
But a dozen games a season for Wigan? Hardly pulling up trees, is he?

You really aren’t very bright. If he was ‘pulling up trees’ at Wigan ( who incidentally were a mid-table Championship team pre-points deduction) then Argyle wouldn’t have a cat in hells chance of signing him, would they?
