Weren't Brentford big on using Analytics at one time? Perhaps he rates highly on that criteria.
But a dozen games a season for Wigan? Hardly pulling up trees, is he? You really aren’t very bright. If he was ‘pulling up trees’ at Wigan ( who incidentally were a mid-table Championship team pre-points deduction) then Argyle wouldn’t have a cat in hells chance of signing him, would they? he wasnt in the first team plans there and again injuries played apart earlier on. Could be a great signing could be a flop like with every signing we make. we will find out about this guy as the season goes on |

| If this is the top of his wanted list, god help if we reach the bottom. but I will give them all a chance to prove Mr Lowe can work a miracle and produce a team that will keep us in league 1 at the end of next season (or higher)

| Free transfer after 30 games for Brentford, one year contract at Wigan, played 11 games.
Sounds like the ex Everton wonderkid Lowe signed last year after he was released by Oldham. Hopefully this guy will turn out better. Couldn't be much worse TBH |

| And before anyone has a go at me for being "negative" I'm just being honest.
Looks like Hallett was being honest as well when he said he wouldn't put any more money into his Club!
Certainly can't accuse PAFC of spending big this summer: One tainted has-been, one might-have-been, and one might-be/might not be.
Certainly not splashing the cash on fees, and looks like staying well within the salary cap! |

| Coventry City and Bolton Wanderers are interested in bringing Graham Carey back to the UK this summer, as per a report by Coventry Live (originally from Bulgarian news outlet TopSport).
Carey started his career at Shelbourne before leaving for Celtic as a youngster in 2005. He went onto play once for their first-team before loan spells away at Bohemians, St Mirren and Huddersfield Town.
He then joined St Mirren permanently in 2011 and had a further spell in Scotland at Ross County before moving to Plymouth.
Coventry are gearing up for their upcoming Championship season and are in the hunt for more signings. They have signed six players since their promotion from League One.
League Two side Bolton have also been credited with an interest in Carey, though luring him from the Bulgarian top flight to the fourth tier could prove a tall order for Ian Evatt’s side. |

| Peterborough United midfielder George Cooper’s London Road future appears to be in doubt again.
Co-owner Darragh MacAnthony was today (August 19) asked how close Posh were to finalising their squad for the League One season in a club interview and replied: “We are possibly two pieces away from where we want to be.
“We could need a number 10 depending on whether George (Cooper) stays or goes.
Cooper, who has started just 16 games for Posh after arriving from Crewe in January, 2018, spent last season on loan at Plymouth.
“And we will need a replacement for Ivan Toney if he leaves.

| Plymouth Argyle have a new trialist with them who has the ability to be ‘something special’, according to Ryan Lowe. The Pilgrims’ boss would not name the player, who is a free agent and has been at their Scottish pre-season training camp this week, for fear of alerting other clubs. However, Lowe did give some insight into the trialist, who will spend next week with the Argyle squad in Plymouth. He is set to play in the Pilgrims’ two behind-closed-doors games at Home Park, first against Middlesbrough on Tuesday and then Forest Green Rovers on Saturday, August 29. The trialist was a half-time substitute in Argyle’s 3-2 defeat by a Rangers XI in a training match played in Glasgow this afternoon. Within seconds of being on the pitch, he had scored a goal to reduce Argyle’s deficit to 2-1. He was a special talent from a young age. There is a lot of people who we know, know about him. “We felt it was right to get him in. He plays left wing, left wing-back and left-back, and he’s very aggressive. “He’s a Celtic fan so it made it even sweeter that he scored against Rangers! “He will be joining us next week but we don’t want to put his name out there just yet. “We are putting a bit of work into him and sometimes clubs can come along and take them off you, and we don’t want that. “He’s a free agent,” added Lowe. “He got offered a contract abroad but he has got a missus and a little girl so he wants to stay in the country. He can be something special, but we have to make sure we do the right things. “He has trained with us the last few days, he has played the game today, and we will monitor him next week and have a bit more intel on him.” The trialist was a half-time replacement against Rangers for out-of-contract Lewis Page, who has been training with Argyle for the past couple of weeks after being released by Charlton Athletic. | R L really is full of crap sometimes. If this trialist is so special, why hasn't RL got him signed up?
And why does no other Club in the UK seem interested signing him? |

| Lowe has given enough clues to those in the business.
1.....He is a Scot. 2.....He is 20 years old. 3.....He is a Celtic fan. 4.....He is married/or has a partner with a child. 5.....And I think he is a free agent as well.
Any football boss looking for young talent surely can track down who this player is.
If Ryan Lowe is worried that this lad could be poached....he should have kept completely quiet about him....scoring in a minute of coming on would have pricked a few ears up.....and checking out the clues that Lowe has given us all wouldn't have been hard for someone in the trade. |

| Contrary to what some think Zyph the football world doesnt set their alarm clocks to Ryan Lowes occasional chats with Errington on youtube.
The player is 20. Thats it in reality |

| With two consecutive promotions I think scouts would check it over...especially with him praising this lads potential. Remember it would only take a couple of books of green shield stamps to out bid Argyle...we would even lose out to replace old Dollie on the tea urn trolly. |

Pasoti have guessed that it is former Celtic player Calvin Miller, which looks a good shout. He meets most of the criteria, except that he is 22. He plays LWB/ Left Wing, and was declared Best Teenager in the World in 2013. Has just been released by Celtic, and was recently in discussions with Amiens (who have just been relegated to the French second division)- Lowe said the player had turned down a move abroad because of his partner/ child (Wiki says that he has a daughter born in 2015). He has also played at every youth international level for Scotland. He had surgery in Sept 2019 that kept him out for the season. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Well if he has been injured he fits the bill doesn't he....another gambol to go along with....MacLeod and Page and Aimson and Telford....I expect you get what you pay for....If these players stay injury free then great....got the makings of a good Div1 team. |

True bit given the contract lengths these players are on which are still those stupid 1 year with an added year attached mostly we stand to get screwed over and they walk for free rather than us cash in on them when we get told they wont sign a new contract instead of pissing in he wind. I really wish we had the business sense too take care of this problem. Just think of the monies we have lost out on over the years on the key players who have all left us for free as their contract expired. |

| Not so long ago plenty were giving the club aggro for dishing out 1 year contracts some with options, they’ll never satisfy some |
