| The only time we’ve seen investment in the past 15 years was after the Liverpool draw where we brought in Taylor and Sarcevic in January to get us over the line and out of L2. This was mainly funded by the FA Cup tie windfall of that game plus the replay. Thus, one surmises, our greatest hope of staying up this season via investment in January, is by beating this pretty shite Oxford outfit, and getting a plush or TV draw (chances are, about 1 in 15). On another note, Curtis Nelson’s contract is up this summer. What cruel, lovely ironing it would be to beat them, get a plush tie in the Cup, spend the money on Nelse this January on the cheap as we have a sell-on clause as per the tribunal, stay up at their expense as we finally have a centre half who isn’t a fat, useless lump of semi-pro level turd, win the league twice in a row over the next two seasons, then put the Prem money into advertising Plymuff Uni to the extent that it overtakes Oxford University, ergo bankrupting the entire town with a huge crash in house prices, employment and opportunity, making its’ remaining residents destitute and sorrowful. The good thing is that Oxford are feckin shite. The bad thing is that we are probably worse.

| It could happen Mocker. I could do with a good old bout of sorrow-fullness, or even just a touch of melancholy would do. It's not often I get the chance these days, what with austerity officially a distant memory. C'mon Argyle, make me sad, as sad as sad act. |

The bad thing is that we are probably worse. I hate to say it but Oxford are currently 5 points better off than us. We'll get hammered 0-4. Glad I'm not going. |

| I've got mates that live in Oxford. Some good pubs, and the Tap Social is a combination of pinko leftie touchy-feely social justice, and craft beer - perfect for insufferable Guardian readers like me.
Anyway, Argo 0-3 Oxford, but I won't care as I'll be at the Vessel Beer Festival. Glad I'm etcetcetc... |

| The Lamb and Flag was my favourite when living there, right next to the poshest greasy spoon you ever did see. I wish Mackie was back here now. Not only was he a good player, but he had a positive energy, something the club only tries to mimic these days, as a cover up for the underlying crap that results in so many players hopping off at the first opportunity. |

| Good to see a proper ATD style match thread intro geddon Mockers. As for Oxford I'm seeing another 2 0 defeat. As others have said premier drinking places there. I used to go and get real Cumberland sausage and mash quality ale and it also gave the young posh girls that frequent said places a chance to sample a bit of the rough they had dreamed about all their sheltered lives. I saw it as social work. Happy daze. |

| Extremely confident we'll lose this one. Even if by some freak of nature we did somehow fluke a win we'd get Shrewsbury away in the 3rd round LOL |
