- So did they start this whole thing off with no structural survey? Or are these latent defects? Or (worst option) is this PM suggesting that they had a survey done and ignored the results?
The first option would be idiocy, considering the sums involved. The second would be a bummer, but unfortunately these things do happen occasionally - not every defect is apparent before strip-out.
The third option would be, to put it very mildly, not good... The whole project has reeked of amateur inefficiency from the start. We both said at the start that a project this size needs proper management. if this is where we are at now the board should resign, bring the administrators in and hand the keys to the AFT. I'd like to see the pm please. Jubbs have been involved from the start, as have ADG. My experiences of Jubb's isn't great, but they are no mugs. Likewise, we've worked with ADG, and they know their stuff. Like most architects, they can be a bit optimistic about how much space you need to squeeze the structure in, but they're generally smart people. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't some kind of survey done and numbers run early on. I'm guessing these issues were ones that have been uncovered during strip out? But who knows. Like you say, I think we both raised eyebrows about a newbie Project Manager taking on something this big. The job is easy when everything goes to plan - it's when things go wrong that you earn your corn! |

| I'm pretty sure that all exposed steel in this type of building has to be fire retardant painted but obviously that is new construction - never heard of magic paint for 70 year old stuff, to hold it up??!! |

| Most posters on this forum said the Moanflower was a sixty year old pile of rusting crap that should have been taken down, problems for the future methinks. Typical Argo. |

Rest assured it would have been screenshot by the piss-stained fake yank and passed onto his Jedi master, Obi Pig Kanobi. |

| At what point does refurb of the grandstand become more costly than just having knocked it flat and starting over in the first instance.
Or has that point been passed already? |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Very reassuring lol. Think next time I pay £24 for my dose of footballing despair I will sit on the Lyndhurst end of the Demport - just in case. |

| Unreal Jethro unreal a bit of half inch plate reinforcement with bolts so small the bodger can use a battery powered windy gun to tighten the nuts.
Brent and Hallett come clean for christs sake. Brents shenanigans over this latest fiasco has spread far and wide already over 36 hours
Guests reading this thread should contact the club and express disgust that this time Brents inept bungling will potentially put people at risk over this proposed bodge structure not fit for purpose and should be condemned forthwith Goes without saying I already have |

| Biggs on the Farm mentioning how small the changing rooms are and Dunlops response has Brent written all over it
"I said exactly the same when I saw the footings go in, I have been told since that the plans were passed by Argyle and then after the foundations were laid realised it was going to be too small and were not prepared to meet the cost to make them larger" |

I will fire off an email in a bit , but judging by the lack of response to other people from this forum, I don't have much hope, is dunsford still having his sit downs with fans ? bet that has stopped after the first few, |
