I was not expecting that, I thought Spain would have a tad too much For Russia.

Another shock result and fair play to Russia.

At one stage during the game the BBC stats dept put up how many passes the Spanish had made - 711, although I missed the final total for the 120 minutes.

Given I'm not that partisan these days in a footy nation sense, I don't much care who wins, as long as they issue in a new age replacing the boring corporate carpet football.  Delighted to hear tippy tappy get a kicking. English club coaches please take note. It's sooooo millennial, and get rid of the tatts too. Maybe something for Forrest Green to champion..... no meat, no tatts, no brainer. I thought it was just me thinking that, all the dull pundits and commentators seem programmed to say it's one of the best tournaments ever, todays games were terrible apart from the tension.

Typical world cup trouble is with viewing it in real time you tend to forget the shite you've watched in the past thru your youth tinted spectacles. As for the pundits they cracked me up after enduring 120minutes of shite it changed to "what an intriguing game." It wasn't very intriguing at all.
