True. Brent generally doesn’t have a problem spending other people’s cash. The issues always arise when he has to spend his own personal Wonga. The Mankover will run to whatever they can get done for the £5m. If they run out of Hallet cash, that’ll be the point where the refurb stops. |

It will be the ultimate embarrassment for the parasite Brent if this doesnt go ahead in full despite him leeching off Hallett for the mankover costs
Have you thought of the obverse? ...and how it might reflect on you (and others) if the "mankover" does go ahead soon? Especially if it comes in roughly on budget? After all that you've said, you are not going to have much credibility left?
...and kudos if you're right!
Just a hunch, but my money is on Brent will come through. Its not on budget though Rickler is it.....the supporters bars have already been axed from original plans released last summer. The guillable GT's have stepped in to accomodate Brent already..... They can argue to their blue in the face claiming otherwise but they have bailed him out. What should have happened was Brent saying look we have earmarked £500,000 (or whatever) for the supporters bar now GT's how about the possibility of a joint deal and make it super duper everyone happy but no Brent will be creaming himself nightly at the ease of the janner stupidity......add in the hard facts that nobody but a secret group of no marks knows remotely what the internals look like then it could be further chopped and none of us are any the wiser.... More to the point Hallett has a had charge against the ground for now 1 year and bugger all has been done. Last week Brent releases an article to his rag stating that he has commissioned some company over new designs for the Grandstand....I mean WTF is going on.....?? I'll tell you the whole shooting match is in trouble BUT I agree its likely something will be madeover although only Brent and Hallett will know how different it will be to the original specs come the end |

| The pretty images comming from Team Jimmy will be nothing like the reality of a half arsed job relying on Bucket rattling on a level never seen before even at Brent argo to get anything even remotely usable. Exeter Chiefs will not be shitting themselves over competion from Argo for the Prawn sandwich mob. |

| Exeter Chiefs also have the advantage of a decent rail link, motorway, international airport infrastructure as well, just who will actually have a conference in Plymouth apart from the god bashers and The Beacon Electrical annual Christmas party??! |

Cmon thats unfair Lord Akkeron has sealed a parking deal with the bus station to allow his delegates to leg it with files across a busy junction whilst its pissing with rain. He's doing his best |

| Apparently there is a 7 figure disparity between the contractor and Brent. Hallett has offered to make up the shortfall but Brent won’t sanction it because it will impact his 50.1% majority holding. |

| Great news if true! The Mayflower mankover would leave Argo saddled with debt for an undersized stand completely unsuitable for the Championship.
Here's hoping it goes the way of all brent's other 'developments'. |

. Or perhaps Frank (and you, are) more likely to believe bullshit than I am? Remember the one about the board and Hallett being furious at Brent for not telling them the plans were being submitted jointly? Well, that one got dispelled at the last fans forum. Then we had the club are already paying interest on the Hallett loan - more total bollox... ...and you and your Brent Romanian farmland deal, which nobody else (not even you) can ever find and provide any evidence of? The again, stupid me... None of this is 'mankover' is ever happening anyway is it? Mind you Beezy you're in good company. Someone like you is born every minute. |

I’ve heard exactly the same thing, and from two pretty unimpeachable sources, both of whom I’d expect to know about this sort of detail. As property developers go, Our James isn’t exactly enhancing his reputation here. |

| So if there's anything in this, then it would appear Hallett is keen on acquiring a majority shareholding, rather than simply upping the £4.1m he's already lending the club.
The plot thickens.

Interesting. Very interesting. (rubs chin). Wasn't there tittle tattle about Hallet being the majority shareholder before long, a while ago on here? |

| "If true", probably a cover story to up the reported loan without appearing cavalier with the ensuing level of club debt. Will end up a bigger mortgage than owed back in the days of Stapleton. Why would Hallet have wanted to create more of a shareholding with little income, when he can get a better monetary return and security from an increased loan. |

Well yeah. If it's simply about the bottom line then an increased loan would be the one. But there are clearly a whole lot of potential benefits and decision making advantages that come with being a majority shareholder. Whatever the reason, Hallett potentially being in the Chair is vastly more desirable than hapless Jim. |

| No wonder he's called Lucky Jim. Picks up all this dosh despite knowing zilch about farming, gets someone else to take on the debts of his failing hotels, somehow talks his way into positions at Plymouth Uni and Exeter hospital. |

| So if the rumours are true Slipping Jimmy, and his Contractor Bob the Builder, are a million quid or so apart. Does that mean the mankover gets Mankier to cut costs or will the whole dogs breafast of a plan get binned until someone some how can build the club what it needs a NEW Grandstand fit for purpose? |
