I'm not trying to suggest that it will happen just that it is the only possible financially viable extension.
Which is why the reduced capacity Crapshack is such a bloody disaster for the club. Its oly going to end one way, the club will move out and build a new stadium elsewhere as home park will not be suitable if this club ever does reach the premiership. |

| Surely JB could fund phase 2 and fill the corners? It would make the stadium look complete. He’s always cutting corners!! |

In a way, that's what the likes of Brent would love to happen, and he'll mope along in whatever fashion he can, making any future expansion impossible, should success ever trip up and fall into Home Park. "The club/academy" are already now in at the ground level at the old royal naval college green fields at Manadon, and will have taken particular note as to what now resides on the old civil service playing fields, the old St Boniface playing fields etc etc. The guys who have taken over the Brickfields property wheeze, also aka Plymouth Albion, also have their eye on medium term change of use, and they've also taken over the old "bankrupted" Stonehouse community centre. Smells to me. It's what these sort of guys do and are keen to make hay, hoovering up land and change of use on the dirt cheap from deliberately made poor, austerity ridden, bankrupt local councils. The stadium land et all in Central Park is a potential goldmine and worth a huge amount more than a couple of fields on the way to Ivybridge. Distasteful to say the least. I wonder if Brent would like it if I started building office blocks in his personal garden and green space. |

| And as if it isn't going on everywhere, this current fashion of owning football clubs to strip land asset value from clubs or demand profitable planning change of use under the cover of community sport clubs is happening right down the road in Torquay. Here's the lowdown today on this latest character, who we all know is after one thing, and one thing only [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - part of BBC report wrote:

Osborne was chairman of a consortium which hoped to build a 30,000 capacity stadium for Bristol's two football clubs at the turn of the millennium - a plan which never materialised.
He was also a director of the firm which bought Bristol Rovers' old Eastville Stadium and sold it to furniture firm IKEA and his company currently owns the Abbey Stadium in Swindon.
It is home to the Wiltshire town's greyhound track and speedway team and, searching through the archives, Mr Osborne is first quoted about redeveloping the stadium as far back as June 1998, but plans to begin work on that arena were only submitted in January this year - the best part of a 20-year wait. |

| Why aren't people supporting Mr Brent? making helpful suggestions? my idea is that every season ticket holder in the Mayflower gets a green umbrella (they pay for it obviously) which saves putting a roof on the stand. |

Basically he said we could add extra rows to the horseshoe but not many, it would be expensive and the return on that few seats made it unviable or we could fill in the corners, also not cost-effective, but the only realistic plan was the demolition and rebuilding of the Devonport End because there is plenty of room behind the existing stand and it could be much bigger. Which is true but it will be a mammoth task and very pricey and on this very rare occasion i can understand brent not wanting to do it. Brent doesn't mind doing it; he just doesn't want to pay for it.
The Devonport End was the only viable option to extend capacity should we ever need to when the original HHP plan was proposed. Straight from the mouth of Mr Akkeron Guy who was i/c the project. Jones or Johns or James his surname was. Probably still is.
Everything else is a nonsense for a whole variety of reasons even before we build ice rinks or anything else.
Not that I think we ever will. I’m not sure this holds true for the latest version of the plans. My recollection is that the original HHP plans doomed us to no further expansion because of the access road nonsense and underground car park. Don’t think that applies now, so in theory it should be possible to rebuild/extend the Devonport/Lyndhurst/Barn Park, even if the Mayflower is hemmed in by the HHP franchise feck up. |

Too many people on stapletons dick to ask questions back then and just followed him blindly. sounds familiar 17 years later! |

Yep, think it's bad down here with shyster Brent whole lot worse up at Plainmourge with 'mystery man' Clarke Osbourne not doing anything or engaging with anyone, clearly he only has intent on developing the ground site for profit. Football at it's worst. The club will almost certainly be in National League South next season with part time status and no proper investment. Gulls are looking fooked. Sad so sad. |

Nearly 2 months have elapsed from the granting of planning and Argyle have had the Hallett charge against the ground since February 2017 so lets summarise the extent of work done to date..... Removal of the promised supporters bar from the budget to be replaced by some gung ho chappes from the GT's doffing their caps to the squire and offering their hard earned instead. Some shacks been relocated from HHP again something to do with the GT's Bricks on site....no JCB's on site.....no Engineers on site.....no feck all on site....yes Geddon Jimmy yer the main man here. And to think those clowns on JBSOTI actually believe that the dickhead is going to build an ice rink.......with his own money |

| The next 6, 12, 18 months is pretty predictable, isn't it!
Brent and his disciples, Nool, Delilah De-Liar etc etc, will be rejoicing, throwing lemon parties, swapping jizz selfies and taking the moral high ground that a few portakabins have been moved, hence the crapshack development has started, and is in full unstoppable swing.
But that's all that's going to happen. As the weeks, months pass by, all we'll get is that it (the development) has started. It's only when the weeds and new trees grow higher than the portakabin that was moved 6,18 moths ago, will the penny drop for the brainwashed followers of everything Brent, that actually, feck all is going to happen anytime soon - it's classic Brent tactics. |

I presume he did, or maybe the GTs had one knocking around. |

| There's a difference here, as opposed to Oldway Manor. There he was trying it on, attempting to drag even more money from the taxpayer along with further permissions the council didn't want to give him. The bowling green fiasco was a treat to behold.. All before he had even cleaned a window of the old Manor, having just sold off the profitable bit. Here, where the grandstand revamp is concerned, he only has the club to tickle up, so that part will go ahead quite quickly and the bills will fly in. What will cause problems is when he goes begging for more taxpayer money, over and above the assets he's already recieved, to finish the ice rink and "landscaping". The rest of his nonsense relies on private sector money, and they're not famous for their generosity toward someone else's pension pot.

It will be the ultimate embarrassment for the parasite Brent if this doesnt go ahead in full despite him leeching off Hallett for the mankover costs Just bugs me that the shyster is getting an easy ride because of Adams once again turning poundland rejects into world beaters |

Have you thought of the obverse? ...and how it might reflect on you (and others) if the "mankover" does go ahead soon? Especially if it comes in roughly on budget? After all that you've said, you are not going to have much credibility left? ...and kudos if you're right! Just a hunch, but my money is on Brent will come through. |
