Disappointed you didn't make your point in triplicate Garry. How's the golf going you old bugger Not bad, but it's been so cold, rainy and windy for about 2 months that we've tended to play only a dozen holes at a time-the far holes at Tavvy are just completely exposed and the frequent trolley bans don't help. At least at Hurdwick there were a few wind breaks and you could shelter from the hail storms but Tavvy is open all the way, good course and facilities though. I took a quick look at Hurdwick the other day-looked in surprisingly good condition, the sheep certainly keep the grass down. Sad to see the greens overgrown and the bunkers filled in though, wasted facility IMHO but c'est la vie. How's sunny Spain-no trolley bans there, i'll wager. |

PS At Exeter Chiefs, the stadium will be increased in size from a 10,744 seater capacity to 20,600. and could be expanded further if require in the future...... once this clusterfuck has had a makeover thats it capacity wise. Only stand that could be expanded is devonport and that would be very costly for anyone given how its built. So brent thinks sensible fans should get excited about a refurbishment of a stand that should have been condemed years ago unfit for purpose cause brent being the shyste he is cant afford to build a new one yet insisted on buying the stadium in the first place where it probably would have been less costly to him and the rest by the council :S |

| I actually asked the Akkeron guy at the Theatre Royal thing ages ago about extending capacity.
Basically he said we could add extra rows to the horseshoe but not many, it would be expensive and the return on that few seats made it unviable or we could fill in the corners, also not cost-effective, but the only realistic plan was the demolition and rebuilding of the Devonport End because there is plenty of room behind the existing stand and it could be much bigger. |

Which is true but it will be a mammoth task and very pricey and on this very rare occasion i can understand brent not wanting to do it. |

Brent doesn't mind doing it; he just doesn't want to pay for it. The Devonport End was the only viable option to extend capacity should we ever need to when the original HHP plan was proposed. Straight from the mouth of Mr Akkeron Guy who was i/c the project. Jones or Johns or James his surname was. Probably still is. Everything else is a nonsense for a whole variety of reasons even before we build ice rinks or anything else. Not that I think we ever will. |

Not that I think we ever will. its the complications of doing it which will cause problems if it was ever discussed. a two tier devonportend would be a saving grace but even so what would the capacity max be then? my guess would be 27-28000 thats including the extra rows in the existing stands. 28000 might seem impressive to some but when you look at most other stadiums including new ones and their future capabilities... not really probably be one of the smallest stadiums. |

| The other thing is that a mahoosive Devonport End seating 10,000 would be completely out of scale with the rest of the ground and God Knows how high it would be to seat that many even if we wanted to.
I'm not trying to suggest that it will happen just that it is the only possible financially viable extension.
Which is why the reduced capacity Crapshack is such a bloody disaster for the club. |

How can he be bringing some crew in to work on designs....! Surely this has all been done and costed months and months ago ?? |

- Agree,
Are we seeing slash and burn tactics huge pencil sharpening for an ever increasing refurb cost. Its always been a source of wonderment to me that Brent could just pluck £4.1 million out of thin air and declare this the cost for the mankover Supporters bar axed from the budget already have little doubt that the Mayflower terracing will be next |

| You know those desk sharpeners with the windy handle like teachers used to have when I was in primary school? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]You could put a pencil in there, keep winding the handle and sharpen it down until there was no pencil left. At which point if somebody complained I wouldn't let them use my pencil sharpener any more and tell them to find another one. |
