| Adams in! Working with his hands permanently tied behind his back, league 1 team with a league 2 buget. Can't possibly spend any money on the team despite selling the pavillions for 5.5mil. If Brent truly cared about Argyle that money would be on the team not in the pension pot. |

| In light of Dane's insistence on posting unconfirmed rumours on this forum (and nowhere else) about an Argyle player, the mods have agreed to a ban of 60 days.
He had been warned several times previously. |

| Brent funds this shit and he is cause of this rut we are in but adams cant be totally absolved of any share. His tactics dont work atm, we have too many players who have no pace and are not fit enough, And squad discipline is going back to the days of Fletcher.
its these areas where del bhey has to address and quick. Brent just needs to sod off and take his hotel and office space for 200 with him |

| I agree with Angry, the budget is shite but so are his tactics and at the risk of offending Skinny.....the dour Scot in him is entrenched in his footballing ethos. That trait is overlooked when the team is winning but magnified when they aren't, more so than it would be in a team that at least tries to play swashbuckling attractive football. As Village would say "3 points is 3 points" but a certain amount of style carries the fans with the team and management through the barren periods imo. |

You can say that again, Les There is the Argyle Shite Entertainment Liberation Front you can join. We've got thousands of affiliated members. It cost nothing to join, unlike the trash served up at Home Park. The aim, to destroy the notion that dreadful dour workaday utilitarianism actually qualifies as association football. Who would go out on a first date with someone painting such a vision, apart from Skinny ? |

| My top priority if I was i/c at Argyle would be to get the Mayflower Terrace re-opened. Whatever it took. It would be done and done urgently.
Brent has now been i/c for 7 years (is it?). Not a finger lifted to get it done.
The difference between us is that I care deeply about Argyle as a football club whereas Brent just sees an investment to be exploited. |

| Yep. Adams in for me. As rob_gt4 has just said on't farm, Adams should have been give more of the unbudgetted income to get a good team together this year, so where has it gone?

| Another question is do we even have a decent scouting network or do we still rely on a football manager expert still? |

| Btw can someone copy/link rob_gt4 comment here from his ' unbudgetted income" thread, before it gets moved, lost or otherwise tampered with. Or worse is met with an Angry Andy reposte? I can't/am shit on my phone.
No doubt rob_gt4 is experiencing logging in difficulties or transient conditions on his browser as we speak.

| From Rob on Pasoti:
Since 2011 the club has prudently returned to profitability with timely assistance from Tony Wrathall and latterly more substantial financial assistance from Mr & Mrs Hallett. In November 2016 James Brent confirmed that we had fully repaid the PCC loan which had been used to clear the debts to all of the existing 3rd party creditors remaining from administration, and that himself, Simon Hallett and Tony Wrathall had purchased the freehold as equity (ordinary shares not repayable by the club, and no dividend) which prevented future rent and rent increases being paid to PCC, making the club effectively debt free to all 3rd parties (this was also confirmed by Simon Hallett at a PACSA meeting).
In addition there have been substantial windfalls from transfer income, sell on income, increased gates and unbudgeted FA Cup runs:
£280k tribunal decision for Curtis Nelson £1 million FA Cup run and Liverpool replays £200k Conor Hourihane sell-on clause to Aston Villa £300k Ben Purrington: 300k £420k additional TV money ‘basic award’ and solidarity payment from being in league 1 compared to league 2
= £2.2 million
And not long before that we received:
300-500k Wembley and Playoffs 450k Joe Mason sell-on
= £750k-950k
Some of these figures are obviously educated calculations based on the information we are given so they can be pedantically debated by small amounts of difference here and there, but nevertheless we’re talking about large sums of money running into millions of pounds here.
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=97807&hilit=unbudgeted+income Posts on here such as this one since the end of January this year have called for the large amounts of unbudgeted income (around 2 million) since clearing our debts to be given to Simon Hallett to make the grandstand refurb even better, and to bolster our playing budget as we go into league 1 .
Since these windfalls we have seen some significant welcomed development of harpers park training facilities that the club confirmed would be paid for by some of the FA cup money it received, and and some pitch and ground maintenance work at Home Park over the summer. There also may have been some player bonuses for promotion, and we’ve spent a transfer fee of 15-30k on Nathan Blissett and a very small amount of compensation to Morecambe for Ryan Edwards (Derek Adams words).
Given that it has recently been suggested that we have the 5th highest attendances in the division, but the squad appears to be devoid of quality and seemingly built on a shoestring budget, with Adams himself confirming that he’s missed out on transfer targets as other clubs merely offered more money, and other articles suggesting that Adams is overachieving as he has one of, if not the lowest budget in league 1, are we to assume that all of this additional unbudgeted income has now been spent? |

| Brent out - mixed emotions re DA. Sometimes, no, a lot of the times, I'm baffled by his tactics and team selection. Saying that, on the other hand, he's doing his frustrated best with the players budget of £2.63p that tight-arse JB has afforded him.
All a bit of a mess, init! |

The only thing I can think of that he left out is the 6 years of continually improving average home attendances. Apart from that just about perfect. |
