| I think you'll find we vote in a Government, not a prime minister.
It was the Lib Dems that wanted and were given the fixed term system. Now it's come back to bite them. |

Quite right too. | Teresa May sacks Jeremy Hunt from his post as minister for Murdoch and privatising the NHS.
Michael Gove sacked as Justice and Murdoch Secretary.
Nicky Hunt sacked from Education.
John Whittingdale sacked from Murdoch's Culture ministry.
Phillip Hammond reiterates that austerity is dead.
Brexiteers given the job of knitting sawdust negotiating the Brexit trade deals.
All good.
If she carries on like this I might turn Tory. |

| Scrap that.
It seems as though dear ol' Jeremy is doing too good a job to let go.
Nobody else has ever driven the doctors to go on strike after all so fair comment.
Simply irreplaceable. |

Voting in meant more shite from europe but that's rarely mentioned.... Quite so. If we stopped in the EU, at the end of this decade the UK would lose the last remaining bit of the rebate that Blair didn't hand back to Chirac. This means that the UK will leapfrog above France to become the 2nd largest contributor to the burgeoning EU kitty. I find it truly astonishing that France, who are never backward when it comes to sneering at the UK's 'service' industry, while they themselves build ocean going liners and warships, are co-owner of world's largest producer of civil aircraft, and who's government is part owner of Renault, will eventually pay less than the UK - even though we seem to have a perpetual trade deficit with the rest of the EU. |

It'll be all over by Christmas. So you now expect us to read a piece by a known left wing commentator. It proves nothing other than the fact you must be bored. No mention yet of the Nice atrocity. France is a sitting duck. Why do you think that is? |

| Last year net immigration was about 300,000. About half of those came from EU countries about half from elsewhere.
We could stop the 150,000 non-EU immigrants immediately Brexit or no Brexit but we have not done this. In fact the Home Sec responsible for not doing this has since been promoted and is now PM.
Being outside the Schengen Zone we also have border controls which we could apply and we could vet everybody on arrival. Sadly, I suppose, the same Home Sec has imposed sweeping cuts on to the UK Border Agency meaning that instead of there being rigourous control there has been very little. Again this could be rectified Brexit or no Brexit.
These are choices our, well "your" really because i didn't vote for them, government has decided to make; they are not obligatory, unavoidable, imposed-from-afar policy. You voted for the government that did this.
Our history would appear to suggest that we have plenty of terrorists of our own regardless as to whether we Brexit or not and for whom "taking back control of our borders" is an irrelevance as evidenced by today's funeral of the assasinated MP Jo Cox.
So let's not kid ourselves that Brexit will solve a damned thing terrorism-wise.
And let's not pretend that what happened in Nice yesterday had any kind of basis in our disastrous referendum.
I also note a complete lack of regard for the Nice murderer's mental health status and it seems odd to me that some who are keen to leap to that defence in some cases never consider it in others. |
