| Looks like the saps who paid a grand each for the tour of Holland could be asked to bring their boots, a Dutch cap so to speak. |

Not too fussed about him going really, our defence was sadly lacking in height last season so for me it's probably for the best. Wrong forum. One out of two, and you get it wrong. Ok, but I couldn't give a flying one really old chap Home to Hartlepool that were in the bottom two for quite a while this season, Hartlepool that struggle to get half our gate? Shorely he'd be on half the wages he would be here? We should be the big draw in this league, if we're not you've got to ask why. |

Hartley's missus: I want to move back up north.
Hartley: Yes dear. Pay them a decent wedge and they'll stay, do it on the cheap aka Jimmy and here's the end result If Hartley was offered a decent two year contract he would stay. If Jimmy cant outbid Hartlepool and Grimsby what is the point of Plymouth having a (alleged) proffessinal football club at all? You don't know that! Has Hartley explained the reason to you personally? Thought not. You may be right or wrong but I suspect a part of it is the return up north. |

You really are pompous sometimes. I find it highly amusing that you and others (including me) scoff at pisspotty because Chief Pig and his piglets jump on people not towing the party line then, on here, you jump on people who don't follow your party line. IMO Hartley is a good CB for this league but not outstanding. He can be replaced. |

| No idea why, or even if, Hartley is off (and nor do any of the 'experts' on here, I suspect) but I won't be too heartbroken. Decent, but error prone. He can look the business in some games, but seems to fold up in high pressure games, or when opponents really get at him. Bit of a flat track bully, imo. |

Not too fussed about him going really, our defence was sadly lacking in height last season so for me it's probably for the best. So how much confidence do you have that we'll sign a better defender than Hartley? We now have to sign someone simply to stand still. If Hartley could earn more money at Argyle and believed that there was a concerted effort to achieve promotion he would stay.
Quite simply there is nothing he can see that gives him any incentive to stay.
So that's one of the "retained" list not retained. He told you that did he ? With your summing up I wonder how Hartley managed to sign a 2 year deal in 2014 ? Look if he stays that's great, if he doesn't then I'm sure Derek will ship somebody in who hopefully will be more dominant in the air than Hartley ever was. Whole hearted player and a leader without a doubt but he's replaceable |

With Brent providing his own dutch oven to treat his supporters. |

Nah the Brentites are happy being a league 2 club as long as they can share the same air as their Lord and master. I can accept Brent wanting to keep Argyle small after all he is an asset stripping capitalist couldn't give a fuk about Argyle all about the bottom line kind of a guy, it's the thick fuks that support him that really wind me up. |

But can't we all have our differing opinions without degenerating to abuse ? or is it the trend that we most toe the party line whatever we really think cos it makes us look big with the rest of the gang. Beginning to resemble pisspot around here. |

The point is though that no-one knows so no-one is wrong or right. I once had a nice job in Lincolnshire having moved from Cornwall. 10 months later, nicely settled in Lincolnshire, I was offered a job in Cornwall with similar pay but bigger mortgage due to house prices. What swung it? Geography. |

IMO Hartley is a good CB for this league but not outstanding. He can be replaced. The difference, of course, being that however objectionable you find LB, he isn't orchestrating a campaign of mass bullying, using multis, smears, all kinds of intrusions into people's personal lives. Nor is he, as far as I'm aware, expelling people from the site for having a different view to his. Let's not forget that whatever individual posters may say, there is no campaign of heavily orchestrated nastiness going on here and that did happen on Pasoti. And how many times have I seen people here who criticise the club get told that they aren't Argyle fans at all and shouldn't be on an Argyle forum? Many. |

| Over the road there it is all starting to kick-off over new signings and re-signings. some posters say there is no need to panic really, as DA has probably got a back-up plan. A smaller amount of posters speaking say that time is of the essence. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I am surprised there has been no new news lately. |

I'm still calm about this but if nothing has happened by the middle of July...
