Sure as eggs is eggs then the thumbs up stripes brigade will be saying how he's shit and not worth it etc. How many 20 goals a season strikers have we had in recent years? I don't remember too many.

Some are already saying that they are not bothered if he has gone, while others are screaming for Matt to sign. Blackpool and Mansfield are after his signature too so i read ?.

Calm down you lot. Up until now the whole Roobs thing has been about the "approach" at the beginning of last season, by Pompey, and the inordinate amount of R and R RR has taken, thus giving rise to speculation on here, and no other forum I might add, that RR was going to play one club against the other to get the best deal he could out of his next employer. And I would add, why wouldn't he. As RR has said, it's what goes on in the game.
Reid's latest public comments in the herald, if they are true, would suggest that process is carrying on apace.

Have we learnt nothing over the last few seasons? we shouldnt be looking to replace like for like we should wanting both and build a compettive squad. We will never get promoted till we get serious with that fact...oh and brent actually invests.

How does losing a proven 20 goals per season player benefit us?

I think that's pretty obvious Czarky, I just wish he hadn't taken a whole year out playing his games. Not good for esprit de corps

He's had his day, not the player he was 2-3 seasons ago, move on.

He spent a substantial amount of last season injured including missing pre-season training from where he had to play catch-up. It was only just before Wembley that he was climing to be 100% fit at last and now he is we are supposed to delight in getting rid?

Nope. That don't do it for me.

I hope he stays and scores another 20+ goals for us next season.

If anyone thinks Brunt can fill the position just as well as Reid over a season, they're in dreamland.
Matt is a different matter, and certainly has potential,. One of them will be here, I assume it will be Matt. All three are far better than Championship 250K Chadders.
As to Frank rattling on about Reid struggling to be fit this season, naivety has climbed new heights. Unless, he really is finished as a pro footballer and is hiding the extent of his problem. to get a deal. Either way, see ya Roobs.

Our physio and other medic types would have been all over Reid all season. If he was shagged we would not have offered him a contract, would we?

his only ever been in double figures twice in his whole career 20 goals a season your having a larf both them seasons half his goals were allsandra diving in the box for penaltys where half his goals came from in both seasons and not outfield play..so now allsandras gone so has rubens goal tally tbh in my opinion allsandra made reid look a better player than he really his

Old news this Brian, you're losing your touch. You've been spot on and first to report on new signings in the past.

Cant help feeling DA is on an absolute hiding to nothing this coming season. The usual dense suspects on the Farm are claiming Auto Promotion is nailed on next season whereas I can see an absolute mare coming up....
The complete lack of players secured already at this time of a close season must rank as an all time low.

Hartley and Reid obviously dont fancy a Brent led relegation battle, this season coming will be a grim struggle for Adams and the new manager when Del has had enough, i reckon around october Adams will leave the Circus.

Dear God how fecking low under Brent have we sunk when someone like Hartley considers a grim northern shithole like Grimsby preferable to Plymouth.....

I'd put money on that happening by October 31st
