Hmmm, this sort of statement always strikes me as a bit silly. If the supporters are the first to know, who the fck is second? Lots of leaks in Home Park and lots of fishwives ready to pounce onto forums to pass on the gossip so supporters always know whats going on before the club gets round to it. John Blackley's son was bathing ape if the legend is true he use to pass on what his dad told him to pasoti and get a literature blow job from the likes of captain for being a grass. |

| The Vine is indeed a great boozer, with a great jukebox. Me and the missus used to go in earlyish for a couple of swift ones before dinner, and put on all sorts - Machinehead, Metallica, Johnny Cash, Wu Tang Clan. Generally the only other people in were a young barman, who enjoyed something other than chart hits or dad rock, and two old boys playing pool who couldn't care less. Good times. |

| I did a cellar mans course at the old courage brewery, the tap room was nice, best pint of best or directors you'd ever taste. They still had a pair of dray horses at the time. |

| I dont want to see Smith at HomePark with all the turmoil surrounding him off the field, i'm also suprised Adams is going down the washed up has been route rather than go for someone on the up, though with Jimmy No Ambition owning the club i expect Adams choices are limited. |

| Mmmm, I'm not liking this deal, scrap it Del, bring Cox back as cover for McHugh and try to get Boeteng back, that'll give us plenty of options in midfield. Smith obviously isn't mature enough to be a coach either, how could he possibly find the time while sending 100's of messages to skirt. |

On the up side, it sounds like he'll get on great with The President. |

Turmoil off the field? Its a marriage breakup due to another woman - happens daily. Also ''off the field turmoil'' is a subject we have discussed at length regarding another player. Washed up? Brucie G, Steve McCall, Lilian Nalis .... Of course if JB hadn't sanctioned Lee Hodges then DA could have gone for Messi. However the major point for me is that DA has shown sound judgement so far and our league position is OK because of that. I'll go with him on Smith. |

I doubt your hero Brent is paying Lee Hodges wages its probably payed for by the FA or the Football league, and what has Messi got to do with anything? stick to what you do best, being hilarious. |

I doubt your hero Brent is paying Lee Hodges wages its probably payed for by the FA or the Football league, and what has Messi got to do with anything? stick to what you do best, being hilarious. All I've said is: 1. How can we use ''off field turmoil'' or in laymans terms ''he was playing away'' as a reason to not sign Smith when we have other players who have gone through ''off field turmoil'' in our side? 2. We have signed some golden oldies who have done very well (see above) and if you drop the age a couple of years we could include John Matthews (excellent midfield player) Tony Book and others so why the anti-Smith campaign. 3. DA has turned our team around with good signings and using players who were, before DA arrived, getting real grief. RR anyone? So on that basis I trust his judgement way way more than the fans. Then you add a statement that is based on ''doubt'' and ''probably'' neither of which have been substantiated with fact - unlike my comments. So laugh at my hilarious comments all you like but I would suggest its your comments that are laughable. Goodnight |

I don't think that's what TT is suggesting. RR is one of those who was getting grief before DA took over... |

| Reuben was getting grief before DA came in? Was he?! Reid was comfortably the club's top scorer two seasons running, and would have been on more than 50 goals in 2 and a half years if he hadn't been unavailable 75% of this season.
You make it sound like DA turned around the fortunes of Dominic Blizzard or Marvin Morgan and made fans favourites out of them. You are talking about, easily, Sheridan's best and most talented player. |

I thought Smith was on shit money at Notts County? or did he change his mind when he saw Jimmy's "Living Wage Offer"! |

| A lot assumptions being made on the basis of feck all information, a player in the twilight of his career is not going to make any quick decision to play for a club a couple of hundred miles away when there's hope of a contract on his doorstep, so settle down chaps and wait, may get a nice surprise ! |
