Maybe the box office has been taken over by Nool, and they're trying the 5000th game programme routine. Get yer seats, before they're gone, selling like hotcakes. . Talking of hotcakes, Ordinary Chaps Cornish pasties will again be on sale at the Barn Park gates in direct competition and eye contact with that Dewdney's limp over peppered tripe. Devon should stick to dumplings. Ordinary Chaps...... proud sponsors of ATD. Not one penny of our sponsorship goes in Jim's back pocket. |

| It will all be over by Christmas. The battle of the ports will move on to the dizzying heights of the third division. Hope you got your bets in lads. Twas fairly obvious about 4 games in. Carey's back and in the groove, and so the result at this level is almost guaranteed. |

| Yep, another good win today.6 wins and a couple of draws from the remaining games should see Argyle comfortably safe.
Good stuff from DA and the boys. |

Good stuff from DA and the boys. Only 7500 at the game which is supprising, perhaps the wider public are not convinced by the Bucket Rattling culture surrounding the club, even though we have a good manager and a decent league two side! also if yoom not a proper fan living near a siren and so on the twenty two quid to watch will put the casuals off going. |

| Game was done and dusted early doors.
If anything, given Morecombes record, I really thought they'd have thrown the kitchen sink at us, or at least tried to. They were disappointing.
On we roll. |

It's not surprising Suffers, and it's been like it for donkey's ears. My pre match was 7500, and 7500 it was. It's Morecambe, it's 6 years of pain, and it's 15 years of increasing POTD prices compared to regular ST holders. And my sister-in-law is a ST holder, and she didn't even bother....... it was a nice day for doing something else. Some casual fans still think, hey it's a nice day, Argyle are top, would like to check them out, heard good things, and then ............whaaaaaaammm !! £ 23. what ??!! plus your normal Saturday afternoon expenditure, before you even get to the evening. For the millionth time, football at Home Park, and maybe most pro League clubs, is tooooooooo expensive for POTD fans, and fans to rejoin the train. Waaaaay too expensive for what you get, and the insults you have to go through. Two or three games at the end of the season, when a colourful spectacle can be expected, are the only big increase in gates. It doesn't bother the owners of these clubs, they just budget on the bottom line, and it certainly doesn't bother the superfans/geeks. They like casual fans being punished, always have, and regular POTD fans are freaks and wierdos. Huge increase in attendances is just another thing of the past in football. Real increased attendances, which Argyle are still capable of getting, now depends on sustained success at championship level at the least, when whole families sign up in American style and stuff their faces. I remember some mid week 28000 against Blackburn months before the end of the season, but in those days the pricing policy was so, so different., and ST holders were restricted almost exclusively to the old farts in the grandstand. The differential in price was negligible. No amount of my wittering on about this will change anything in the culture of those that run pro football clubs. Fine, sobeit. Good win by the way, excellent. So, so delighted for Adams and his attempts to put the club back into PAFC. He's got his work cut out, but he's impressed so many so quickly. Such a shame I don't feel the club itself can match his ability and desire. |
