Despite the DA effect, the bigger picture remains grim. Those now rejoicing at current on field improvement, seem incapable of envisaging probable futures.
It was the same 8 years ago.

'Shaddap and enjoy the ride', cried the burgeoning pasoti controllers. 'We'll never hear bad words spoken about Stapes and his lovely family'.

Now that the non investing reluctant one has given them the keys to the train set, they defend his tenure with every bucket rattle and every marginalisation of those who can see through their self promoting antics.

With the trust also falling into line, the only scenario likely to see my good self rekindling a now tarnished love affair with the club, is if new owners appear with sufficient cash and vision to pay off brent [that's all he's here for] , eject his sycophantic jamboys and bring some class to the place.Only then will the wider potential fanbase begin to beiieve and buy in.

The place currently reeks of parochial backwater and this village mentality, ever present hardcore, would eventually be outnumbered by those who want more than being someone in a tent or on a GOS photoshoot.

Form is temporary, particularly if you pay peanuts. Class, or the lack of it, is permanent.
