| So according to your pie chart at least 95% of labour mp's dislike Corbyn, aren't socialist, are looking forward to a career swinging the lead and would love to fiddle their expenses. |

They didn't so much win the last election as steal it. I can feel your desperation from here. |

| Oh I don't know.
There's no down side here.
How could a few dozen by-elections in Tory-held marginals be anything but good for the country?
I'm sure the electorates will vote appropriately.
Can you remind me how big that majority was? |

| I watched HIGNFY last night, still good, I think Ian Hislop nailed it with what Ken Livingstone said it was along the lines of, "any politician that mentions Jews and Hitler in the same sentence needs their heads examining." Historically correct or no he should know better. I've never liked red ken anyway his comments about the rich and diverse culture he enjoyed in London had more to do with cheap European labour working for him (I know this for a fact btw) whilst he was enjoying his £1m a year salary. Cast in the same mould as Brown and Blair, throw the ruling elite from their limos and mansions and climb right into their already warm beds. FOOKIN turncoats. |

If you're going to try and smear someone, do it with something that isn't so easily checked. |

Oh my bad, however my point still stands, someone who was earning over two grand a week shouldn't be employing cheap imported labour. And before the R card gets pulled out again nothing wrong with imported labour per se just pay them the living wage that everybody deserves. |

| Well, not a bad day at all for Jezza. Average local council success and Sadiq Khan getting the London mayor thing. Not bad at all considering the slaughtering he has received from the press, his parliamentary colleagues and a UK public unsure of anyone to the left of that other Khan, Genghis. Well done Jezza. Good start, and very well behaved at that. You're a credit and a good example of a conviction politician. You're on the right tracks and are having an effect. Not an easy ask in today's UK. If only you had one or two more green policies. |

| Interesting to see comments on this thread from months ago, considering the westminster coup being attempted at the moment., with the labour party Blairite MPs determined to over turn clear democratic wishes. I would have imagined a few brexiteers would have empathy with Corbyn's plight, considering the emerging kicking into the long grass of brexit.. But, no. Funny that. Weird. Maybe some see democracy as an a la carte menu.
I attended a Corbyn rally in Plymouth yesterday, saw a couple of long term Argyle fan friends, speaking on the roster. A good turn out of hundreds at short notice. One day, the westminster elite might actually take note of the REAL feelings of people, but I won't be holding my breath. In the meantime, life goes on, down in the west country parishes. |

| As if it wasn't serious before, it's certainly serious now. I cannot see beyond a Tory government for the next two elections. In other words we will have a Tory government in power for 20 years. Events, particularly brexit, might come to the rescue but I suspect not. Corbyn is a dead man walking yet his party members refuse, or are too stubborn, to see it. We need a decent opposition not a pathetic one. Luckily, Theresa May is a centrist politician so is fairly acceptable to many. Who is there(if any) to lead Labour out of its self destruction? I can't think of anyone.

| You think Theresa May is a centrist politician?
If ever anything showed how far to the right our politics has shifted then there it is. |

High praise indeed! I said exactly that. It wasn't cryptic. I'd hate to accuse you being wrong and this time you're right once again. |

| I'm just watching Baroness Chakrabarti on Andrew Marr. Apparently she claimed, among other reasons, that the Labour vote was hampered by the poor weather and that their supporters didn't own cars. It's comical. Going back to the right/left debate. We have had centrist government since Major. And for a reason. It's, by and large, safe. It benefits the majority. It may not be to your liking but that's the way it works.

| Maybe Theresa May is paying Corbyn to stay as the Labour leader....he is undoubtedly the greatest asset that the Tory Party has.....they can't believe their luck. |
