You'd've thought he had taken a selfie at a funeral or something rather than staying respectfully silent during a song celebrating the saving of a monarch he would replace by a supernatural entity he doesn't believe in.
You just want a mono culture headed by monotheism, Angry. You're a natural Stalinist. You're as bad as Newell. In fact, your view on moderating was as authoritarian as his.
As for Corbyn. Can't wait for the child abuse accusations to start. Can't be long now.
I was up at the Nuffield yesterday in the waiting room. The evening Murdoch news was on the TV, newspapers were available on the tables. And what was everyone doing ? Checking their smart phone. News/propagaaaanda delivery is changing. People are making their own minds up. This obvious witch hunting of Corbyn could well back fire. Nevertheless, all part of the polarisation going on everywhere. ' Your lot' don't control the message any longer.

The other candidates were totally unconvincing, just like Ed. At least Corbyn is different, doesn't speak from a carefully worded script and just might tap into a rising tide of support for workers' rights in face of the ever increasing control of beauracrats and their multi national corporation masters. He is also uncertain of the UK's future within the EU under the present conditions. Labour and the Liberal's refusal to even consider a referendum, pissed a lot of people off.
If he does get challenged, it will take a straight talking and believable character to carry enough voters with him. IMO the only one who could oust him would be David Milliband.
Out of interest really but what rights do you think workers don't have?
Trade Unions, the Labour Party and the NHS were all born for a reason. The benefits gained are now taken for granted. These privileged tw@ts below, given a decade or two in government, would take us right back to those dark days. With zero hours contracts and the current TU legislation, it has already begun. What they bank on is there being enough people with short memories and an 'I'm alright Jack'[for now] mentality. Working class Tories are fools.
Nor do I believe everything I read in The Sun (which incidentally "respected" the Royal family by hacking into its mobile phones) nor the Daily Mail (which "respected" this country by supporting Hitler who was directly responsible for the deaths of all those servicemen supposedly disrespected by a bloke not singing a song yesterday).
And if Corbyn had sung GSTQ the newspapers' front pages would have screamed "HYPOCRITE CORBY SINGS SONG EXTOLLING MONARCHY HE WANTS ABOLISHED TO BE SAVED BY DEITY HE CONSIDERS IMAGINARY" etc.
This is a serious game for our newspapers. If he attains power do you think their billionaire, often foreign, owners will keep their cosy off-shore tax arrangements?
BTW yesterday the government cut £4bn from the income of 8m hard-working families and there's not a front page article about it in sight.

Here's Cameron promising not to cut those same tax credits.
And here's how to sing a national anthem.

It's painful to witness but I hope Jezza remains dignified and sees this through. The problem that the press have is that he is not trying to be something he isn't and crucially he'll talk openly about what he does believe in.
At some stage (if they haven't already) people will see through their game.
Likewise if Cameron has his pre-written jokes at hand ready to scream across the despatch box in 2 hours time then he may come across as a trivialising bully. Let's hope so.

Prime Ministers question time could get interesting if Corbyn doesn't respond to the dog fight that it generally turns into......what a prat Cameron will look if Corbyn doesn't rise to the bait.
Just straight questions without animosity and hostility....that would be interesting......not responding with kind could speak a thousand words and leave a lasting message to the viewer.

You could call him a hypocrite for going to the even in the first place considering he hates the armed forces. Mind you if you go to a memorial in a church and choose to "respectfully" refuse to sing your countries anthem then the very least he could have done is dressed smartly and not like a sixth forum attending an assembly.

Who the feck says that Corbyn hates the armed forces Angrymod? Corbyn is a pacifist, he hates soldiers dying. You could argue that you hate soldiers more as you want them going to war, that's generally where they die, on some foreign battlefield crying for their mums in an illegal war, god save the queen.

I'd forgotten about Redwood trying to sing Hen Wlad. Glorious.
No different from Labour party officials mumbling their way through the Red Flag at party conference though I guess.

I fail to see any connection between Redwood(hilarious but he tried) and Corbyn(selfish and he never tried). This was a day for the war veterans not his beliefs. Having said that, I hear he will now sing the National Anthem at all future occasions. Which makes it all the more pathetic. What was that saying about having principles but if you don't like them I can change them.

Being anti monarchy is in no way disrespecting service men or women. He turned up at the event to pay respects to service men and women, that is paying respect, sure he didn't sing the anthem but that is disrespecting the queen (not that it's that disrespectful IMO but there you go) not the service people. As for having principles are you apllying the same yardstick to the other MPs or just Jezza?

what a silly human being you are.
Ever looked to see who owns the newspapers Angrymod? Could explain why they don't share the enthusiasm for taxing the rich that some others do, propaganda foreshore. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Iggy, They're all as guilty as sin on the principles stake but he's now leader and no longer an eccentric backbencher.
