| I'm too good at breaking my own kit, sure if I hired it out it would never work. On chainsaw news, still not working when I took the carb off the gasket between the carb and the pot broke up, could have been the problem all along, won't have one until the end of the week. |

| Gosh, there are some amazing coincidences occurring here.
My car dash has taken to flashing at me now every time I get in, telling me it needs servicing.
Ex-Brother-in-law is converting his loft so I did two trips yesterday to relieve him of some huge 126yr old roof joists and battens. They're too big for the chop saw so I'm now looking to purchase some other type of circular cutting device.
I too could do with an extra-elongated hedge cutting device. |

| Spooky. My car is in for service next Monday. 24/03/15. The day of the great ATD coincidence and conspiracy thingies. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] If you reorganise the date it reads 012345, if that isn't spooky I don't know what is. On long bladed hedge trimming implements news I have borrowed my brothers, I shall see if I can break that tomorrow. |

| Just listening to the new Charlatans track on six music, quality. In chainsaw news after rebuilding the carb replacing the gasket that I broke I've now discovered that the clutch is knackered, easy fix just another £125. Thing is its a pro husky which although old is still really powerful but if I buy a new one they are all electronic. No adjustment for idle, high or low all done throu ignition. If it goes wrong off it goes to the menders, feckin great if you are in the back of beyond and have trained so that you know how to fix the feckin things! Rant over. |

| The missus has just announced she's doing a chilli for tea in a minute. Don't get me wrong, I love a chilli. But her track record for good results in the kitchen is about on a par with James Brents track record for property development achievement. |

He'll fix it for free you'll just have to pay the £70 call out fee. |

I hate anything plumbing related. Rather than fix leaks the traditional way, I've now taken to smothering the whole affected area with this stuff... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]It is fookin amazing. |

It is fookin amazing. You would think that connecting the plastic waste pipe to the basin would be straight forward... oh no! the fooking basin is on the piss thats why the wastepipe is not square on ffs he told me to and i quote " Gob some sillicone around it it will be fine"..... another mate is coming round in the morning to have a look at it! there must be a decent plumber in Devon somewhere, surely! |

Zackly same problem that I had Suffs. 'Cos the waste pipe wasn't square on there was too much pressure pulling on one side. The connection would appear to thread on ok, then the fooker would just drip drip drip. Entomb the whole circumference in LS-X mate. Fooking expensive for the size of the tube, but it's bulletproof. No more leaks. |

On screwfix, it looks just what im after! i think i will get some just in case rather than rely on useless plumbers! .. nice one Bud. |

| ss68,
If you want to save some money and still be able to take waste apart if you drop something down plughole use PTFE tape. Wrap around thread of male fitting before screwing on female (fnar, fnar)
screwfix

| This is all very far from mundane. I've had my head under the bath this morning trying to find a years old leak that has rotted the kitchen ceiling (a bit). Only evident where somebody is showering in it, so the wife was delegated that task while I peered up from underneath at it (the bath waste) where it was seen to be leaking. I might try PTFE tape first but I can see it coming to the Fernox eventually. The fecking builders must have known about it as all the joints had silicone lagged around them...useless feckers. |

| My boy uses silicone on new fittings, he says they never ever leak if done right but cheap enough just to rip out and replace new, change the trap you cheapskate. |
