No frost that bad last year........couldn't even get the car door key to slide into the lock to start with.....when I did it wouldn't turn for quite awhile.....afraid of breaking it.....door seal stuck to the metal as well......then spent 15 minutes de-icing the windows...plus really icy road in our cul-de-sac.......hello winter. |

| Just walked from Chingford Mount to my house. 22 minutes, not bad considering I'd just given blood and was feeling a bit queezy. |

| There's a garage near my house that has a sticker on the door reading 'Ventilation' in Russian. I think the owners are hipsters who are trying to look intelligent and edgy by having Cyrillic script on their property, but don't actually know what 'Вентнлацня' means. |

| If there's one thing I know it's that I don't know how to speak Russian (or Cornish). |

| Cooker element blown this morning. Looking online for a replacement. Will probably pick one up Monday morning from local shop and fit. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Its always the same, I have a spare for the top oven/ grill but not the bottom oven. Luckily the bottom one is easier to change than the other. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! Not being au fait with these things, would the fact that it takes about 20-25 minutes to preheat my main (fan) oven to about 220deg would that be a problem with the element? Or is it a case of if the element goes, that's it - kapput? |

You reach a certain age and all the fashions come round again. I well remember the time when it was very hip and trendy to have cyrillic slogans on the front of t-shirts (some time in the 80s, I think). Little did they know their fabulously expensive garments said things like 'telephone' and 'radiator'. |

Or is it a case of if the element goes, that's it - kapput? Our fan oven takes a while to get up to temperature. Normally when it goes it goes. Ours this morning knocked out the main circuit breaker for the house. Lodger number 1 was pissed off when she lost all her school work on the computer! Of course it was all my fault! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife!
