So now that the Hotel and School are out of the game, with the Ice-rink now available to be placed anywhere in the city what are the chances that the club can get a Grandstand worthy of the name?
I can only dream Don't think you'll find that stated anywhere. Akkeron have to deliver an Ice Rink in Plymouth to be able to knock down the Pavillion's rink, bt it just suited Akkeron for footfall to have it at HHP. |

| The AFT seemed to have upset The The Club President.
The must be doing something right.
Is this the same person who was prepared to unleash the dogs of war on the streets of Plymouth to 'intimidate' and protest against certain ex directors.
Now the AFT can't even release a verbatim account of a conversation to it's members and other interested parties without it being pointed out they are threatening to bring the whole house of straw down around James Brent's ears. |

@GreenSamPAFC @TheArgyleTrust What are the latest membership figures (minus juniors) of AFT currently? Out of interest. That old chestnut. It'll be 'what did you do in the war?' next. |

| Just don't let anybody get away with deflecting the blame for this fiasco away from Brent. His plan has failed purely and simply because it was unfunded, shockingly poor, badly thought out, both parsimonious and greedy at the same time and ill-suited to the best interests of the club, the park and the city.
The plan has not failed because I, or anybody else, do not like it but because it was crap.
Hearing the death knell for the hotel actually saddens me. I can see that it would have fitted nicely into a Sports Park incorporating the Life Centre, Home Park and the Ice Arena and all of those things could have fed off each other for business.
Maybe there is still scope for a genuinely grand grandstand with, a sensibly-sized the Ice Arena built into it? It'd be a nice, simple, space efficient solution denied to us before simply because the bloody mini-stand was too small from the get go!
And please, please, please on no account any stupid concrete boxes by corner flags masquerading as a dentist, school or anything else.

Sam There was no need to apologise. You were being goaded. The The The Club President knew exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. He's a playground scrapper and happy to hit low below the belt.

I do not think it was because of footfall you can get more in town, it would be the cost of the land he paid £200,000? for HHP, How much would he lose if he was to build the ice rink in the centre of town instead of his apartments? |

| Would be interesting to know Tudor's thoughts on the new lease transferring the 1.22acres and the inclusion of the buyback clause |

Priceless stuff. looks like some selective deleting of tweets by THE president formally known as Chris Webb |

| He was having a go at Sam and the Trust for being 'negative'. I posted 'Never Again - how quickly do some people forget'. It then degenerated into the past - with my answers obviously not to his liking and therefore deleted. |

Not stupid at all.
Surely that's grounds for revoking the consent already granted?
Green Genie will know better than I, but I'm pretty certain decisions on planning permission aren't based on whether the funding's in place. The process is mostly about whether plans meet various legal and other standards, how they fit in with area plans and the like, and the impact they'll have on things like traffic, schools and so on. - hippo wrote:
- How much council tax has been sent into Brent's wallet with regards to the rebates etc?
A lot, some of it paid by people on very, very low incomes. Pissed away, basically. Edited to add: Interesting to remember Tudor calling somebody a 'chimp' when they questioned the plans ... |

| "De Lar, Newell and Brent, you boys have taken one hell of a beating!" (surprisingly from Tudor Evans)
Always knew the mini-stand was not going to make the club £1m, only dimwits thought that it would. It seems there's a big fracture developing between Brent and the council and it would appear that Argyle will get no more concessions. |

| Chris Webb.
The AFT has more members than you have.
Put your ego to one side and start to understand that you open your mouth at the wrong times on the wrong issues, attacking the wrong 'enemies'.
You don't speak for the majority of Argyle supporters, and certainly didn't when the majority were polling in opposition to HHP. You chose to be blissfully uninvolved when that was going down, and yet choose to pipe up now.
Log out of your twitter and reassess what actual purpose you serve to this football club.
Feel free to post here if you get time. |

| Wash your mouth out with soap and water ejh, THE Chris Webb boasts- "Described and (sic) ‘Inspirational’ by Argyle followers and singled out with (sic) for outstanding praise by Argyle Chairman, James Brent, Chris Webb now offers guidance on supporter relationships to Clubs across the UK Since the period of administration, Chris has worked with supporters on a number of initiatives that have been aimed at improving the experience for those who really are at the heart of the game – The Fans’. Chris now offers guidance to Clubs and Supporters Trust (sic) on improving supporter relations, fundraising activities and being commercially smart. This is not just another gimmick. Chris prides himself on results. This means improving matchday atmospheres, raising additional money for Clubs / Trusts and creating a unity between supporters and their Clubs which is often seen as the Holy Grail by even the very top Clubs."
