| Brent's plan has been dead in the water for some time now and he has no interest in Argyle as a football club whatsoever.
He must be desperate now for an exit that allows him to carry on plundering Plymouth City Council (and Torbay CC) for all he can without the high profile that his activities attract as a football club owner.
It's in his interests to leave, accepting the plaudits for having saved Argyle as he does, and it's in our interests for him to leave so that his plan for HHP can be buried once and for all alongside the rest.
So 1) how much hard cash would it take to get rid of him? and 2) let's get bucket rattling to raise it! |

| Make him an offer Frank and see what he counters with?
How much cash to get rid of him? How much has he put it? Well, people have been trying to find out the answer to that since he signed the papers to take over the club.
Good luck on that one.
At this point... My big question is this:
If the HHP deal goes belly up because Brent can't fulfill his end of the bargain... How much of the deal can become 'unraveled' and restored to its previous standing?
Can 'Argyle the club' get back what Brent has placed into his pension fund, for example?
I guess these are questions for the Council and I suspect that only someone like Graham Clark has any inkling, but feel free to comment...
Talking of questions... and needing answers.
About time the AFT got proactive and asked a few questions of Brent and the council about what is going on? Please, let's not wait for the Herald to have to stir the AFT into public action again.
Lead the way AFT!

| Couldn't agree more.
I suspect any actual cash has long since been squirrelled away and will never be recoverable. The land adjoining the ground is the fly in the ointment.
It needs to be re-united with the Home Park or else the break will never be a clean one.. |

Was about to post that question myself, one of the richest men in Britain with a reported personal fortune of £1.3 billion and from Plymouth. Think it is a serious question to ask would be great if someone could approach him in some way, what we looking at £5 million? to buy Argyle. We are going nowhere under Brent the bullshitter and his cronies. BRENT OUT! |

Think we have all had enough of bucket rattling at H.P. Indeed. It brings out all the usual suspects, jostling for position. |

| I think you will find that the Trust has been co-ordinating and asking all sorts of questions to the CEO Martyn, since the demise of the PASB and the people who have asked for questions to be raised have been advised of the replies. So if you want questions asked and do not want to ask yourself, send your question to the AFT secretary, I am sure they will ask it for you and let you know the reply to your questions. |

| Indeed, how to get past the very pleasant and accessible CEO would seem to be the problem. Though how much longer Martyn Starnes is prepared to be the positive voice of PAFC when it's pretty clear to most with an IQ of 100+ that the whole HHP and Civic Centre plans are in total disarray is another question. |

| Feck Dawson, arrogant cnut if ever I met one, better the devil you know or it could be out of the frying pan into the fire. Someone like Dawson with the ACTUAL MONEY could develop HHP without handing out the begging bowl to NCP he could also change many things the council want to not change because he would have the budget to fight PCC through the courts. |

| As for your original point Franny I think it's a good one and have npbeen mulling it over for some time. The fundraising would have to be on another level, the GTs have raised what? Shy of one million in three years, that's some fanfests and some pasties to sell to buy the club. The million dollar question in my mind is that the council own the ground, would it be feasible for the fans to buy the ground off the council or is that 100% contracted to Brent? |

| As I understand it the tenant (Mr Brent as owner of PAFC) has the right to purchase the ground at certain points at a price dependent on the team's place in the leagues. |

| You are right of course, the club would need to be leveraged from Brent to get the ground. Surely as a reluctant owner he will be only too happy to pass the club on to the fans now that it's saved? |

I know if Reid weren't here then another striker would have taken his place but what is the average strike rate of the strikers we sign, seven or eight? Puts us well in the shit. |

They should be talking to the organ grinder, not his monkey. +1 Tringreen and yourself like to complain about what other people should be doing, so why don’t you both go direct yourselves to Mr Brent and ask the questions that you feel so badly needs answering. I am sure everyone on here and the not to be named other site will all so grateful to you for finding out all the answers. After all the AFT board are supporters just like you and all have their own jobs to do, so what’s the difference in you asking questions? I understand the AFT are looking for proactive members I am sure you both could be good additions. |
