I see quite a few Argyle fans in Totnes, Always a stop for coffee and a little shopping on the way home from a day out. Ashburton I see a few fans are also from, There is a gentleman sits in front of me, I asked him if he was Richard Blight? he said “Never heard of him” |

To be fair you have to doubt the integrity of any poll conducted on Pyongyang. |

I'm a non-believer but obviously don't rock the boat often enough. |

I simply don't understand why two bunch of adults, who have the same common interest have to sink so low. I don't particularly like PASOTIs stance on it either.
I apologise if you felt attacked, although perhaps that speaks volumes in itself. I don't feel attacked. I just don't believe you. Again, it is not the users of this forum that sunk so low as to bankrupt a club in the pursuit of a rather large pay day, and then deny all knowledge of it. Even many ordinary fans knew how much the club was losing each month. I knew Stapes back in my playing days. A nice guy back then and a big Argyle fan no doubt. But that isn't the point. |

And a pathetically obvious bit of manoeuvring/gauging of fan opinion, pre-event. What Newell meant to say is that Stapledung, Myself, Mr Brent, Webby and Space commander De-lar have just had a lovely dinner engagement, (Nikkkkkkk couldn't afford to go ) where besides other topics of conversation, i,e world football forum domination, how to take pictures whilst driving and not get collared, was the thorny subject of Mr Stapledung easing his way back into the PAFC fold, as-it-were. That's what this is about. If the poll on Patwati is resounding 'NO' (not that De-Lar or Newell will ever let that happen on 'their' site) Newell, or his secretary De-Lar, will have to break the news to PS that he's not welcome back by the vast majority. Although you may never see PS on the terraces, well, seats, I suppose we will never know if he get's to watch PAFC again from the Lizard lounge, with a plane on stand-by in the car-park ready to depart to Dubai if we lose 5 in-a-row. De-Lar - please feel free to take a screen grab of this. What's that? Oh, you already have!! |

The last I heard was that the negotiations with the owners of Goals were continuing. If I remember correctly Martyn Starnes confirmed this. |

That's not the only rumoured link to the Stapletons floating around. |

| just shows how bad pasoti is when they have people on there who are quite happy to have a man who almost bankrupted this club and went on holiday to dubai when club staff and players went nearly a year without wages. His sheer greed and ego are the reason the club have floundered like the titanic down the leagues he wouldnt move aside when it was obvious he and the current board didnt have the resources to keep the club in the championship or push on. RATHER THAN ACCEPT HIS PART in the admin saga and apologise for it he choose to blame it all on todd and others which is poppycock. The debt the club had couldn't not have been created in one year with him at the helm no way. Ian did this same thing with Tony Wrathall and the next week he was a game sponsor If Stapleton wants to watch the team then he can go watch via paying for a ticket and sit in the stands with the other paying members of the green army (excluding the free loaders from pasoti). |

Goals lease the land from a company that was set up by Stapleton, Gill and Dennerley (RI that purchased the old Plymouth Cricket Club ground. Ollie Stapleton moved away from Plymouth a couple of years ago and works in the commercial dept of Newcastle United. |

| Something's up. Let's hope Stapleton doesn't bump into the author of the Duchess of Derriford blog when he goes to the ground. It purports to be a comedy blog. Sounds like someone who knew him well and decided to use the situation to heap more mockery on Stapleton. Wonder if they have form for attacking people anonymously... |

I thought the ground was lease from PCC Peverell Park Plymouth Cricket Club played at Peverell Park from 1924 until being evicted in 2009 by the Head leaseholders of the ground, Paul Stapleton, Phill Gill and Robert Dennerley. |

| How can Newell even consider the idea of bringing Stapleton back into the fold when Stapleton was so linked to the Heaney debacle. Didn't they use Stapleton's office address to register the company? Indeed at one stage we had the Dogs of War threat which led to Stapleton's family receiving threats allegedly. - Herald story Oct 3rd 2011 wrote:
- Argyle Fans’ Trust chairman Chris Webb has written to the quartet, stating: “It is not crystal clear in what format this offer is being presented or indeed who is actually part of the consortium and who is a supportive bystander....I cannot stress strongly enough that your involvement in this process is unwelcome, untimely...step aside and allow a deal to save Argyle to be closed by James Brent.
Make the right decision. Not for yourselves but for Plymouth Argyle staff, players and supporters. The supporters’ group is planning a series of “strategic protests” unless the recipients publicly back Mr Brent’s bid by Monday afternoon.
Mr Stapleton declined to do so when asked by The Herald, but insisted his only contact with Lombard had been “requesting they do not reject James Brent’s bid” ahead of Wednesday’s talks.
Mr Webb added: “If we have to call for protests then we will make sure they are loud, forceful and passionate. “However, the Fans’ Trust cannot condone any threatening behaviour. We have placed the ball firmly in the courts of Stapleton, Wrathall, Heaney and Gill. Nothing less than open support for the James Brent bid will see fans’ anger and frustrations grow.” |

Anyone know what Stapleton and the other directors who bought the lease on Peverell Park are planning to do with it? Any reason why he has bought it, thrown the cricket club off it and left it to go to rack and ruin? I remind people that when Stapleton first had negotiations over the lease he told the cricket club that the ground would be levelled to produce a 1st class outfield for the cricket club to use between April and September and Argyle would use it for specialised skill based training beteween September to April. A few months later after he got the lease the cricket club were served 3 days notice to vacate the site. Stapleton and his mates proved themselves to be unreliable then and have gone on to be unreliable.

Plymouth Sports Centre Limited still has the three directors of Stapleton, Gill and Dennerley and is registered at Stapleton's accountancy business address. It's about the only company Stapleton hasn't resigned from in recent months.
I guess they will sell up to the Irish as part of the redevelopment?

| IF Goals is anything like the one in Portsmouth, the last thing it needs is a tent in it's carpark. They'll need the space for their paying customers far more than they'll need the money it might generate as a 'landlord' of a fookin tent.
I'd imagine the reason negotiations are 'ongoing' is that they haven't even started. what's the point when the main build isn't even going to start for another 18 months at least? |
