Mass crowds congregating always carry the risk of mass panic/disaster. and it will keep on happening. Ibrox, Bradford, Hillsborough in football. I think Aberfan was the one disaster that shook me most. Such an awful unbelievable thing.
I think the Hindu Kumbha mela is due this or next year ? What a gathering that is with it's own stampedes. But while we're human, we'll keep on going. It's what humans do. Arsenal away in the FA Cup when we lost by 6 in the 1980s at the clock end ? was probably the nearest I've come to a crowd crushing disaster, and I've attended a few rock festivals in my time. We were lucky that day a lot of people weren't killed. My feet were off the ground for a good 10 minutes. Similar to the West Brom away match on the 84 cup run, bit scary as a teenager. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] What is wrong with people? Vile, thick and ignorant. The most worrying thing is that her and her mate - who no doubt thought it 'brillyent 'ennit? shoad them muzzer fockers' - had 5 children with them....only takes 1 of those 5 to be impressed by its mother's behaviour for the depressing cycle to go on. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] The bit they always miss from the 2nd amendment quote is the bit about them having the right to bear arms as part of a well regulated militia. The stats in the article are pretty much fubar as well. |

So, guns are fine as long as they are held by a non government paramilitary bunch who regulate themselves ? It's all about discipline. Great stuff. |

Is anyone championing Plymouth's cause for any fooking thing these days? Fooking place is becoming a right 3rd world shit hole. |

| Didn't make the national news but a MAHOOSIVE over reaction by Devon and Cornwalls finest at Princetown yesterday. A young bloke had a domestic by the sounds of it, the police were called and he barricaded himself into a bedroom with a knife and and a canister of gas. Cue the arrival of six armed response vehicles, four vans full of riot police, ten ordinary cars, plain cloths support officers, four fire engines and a few ambulances. Matey was talked down off the roof after smashing through from the loft and sitting on the ridge for an hour or two. If you had rung up the police and said you were being burgled they would have given you a crime number. |

| In the good news section my mate Spence (he is the marine who lost his leg helping someone who'd crashed their car on the m3 a while back) is half away across the Atlantic in his rowing boat with the three other amputees. Proper inspirational character, geddon. |
