| They do reckon that that figure will come down a heap by the time it's settled but some are insane. I got fecked up pretty bad ina car accident and had a paltry payout because of previous injuries, being self employed and yet a woman the other day had £800k for sexual harassment in her job where she earned over a hundred k a year, no loss of earnings either, makes you wonder. I suppose it's no different to being sacked, if you're a brickie and a wall you built falls over you'll get docked that weeks wages and get sent down the road. If you're a banker with HSBC and you feck up the Aisa division you get a golden goodbye of £53m when they don't even need it. |

Yep, lifes a bitch. Ask my big sis, got diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour a couple of weeks ago, should have had an op to remove it this week but due to bed blocking caused by the cuts to social care meaning that Derriford is full to overflowing with old people that can't be moved out of hospital post op she has been cancelled a couple of times now. She is waiting to hear whether they can fit her in on Monday but has been told "it's unlikely." Now that is a bitch, she won't even know her prognosis or how long she is likely to live until she gets the op. I've only got half my life to live as a chronic pain sufferer as someone clever cnut once said "it could always be worse" how true. |

Totnes or Calstock foreshore. Oi, I spend a lot of my time in those two places. And as it happens, I once bought a lovely print of a unicorn from the old chapel in Calstock that Knecht works at, so they must exist. It was an artists coop at the time, now an excellent arts/music venue. To some of us, unicorns signify spiritual awakening. Not so to others. I guess they didn't hear the alarm. |

Yeh me too, love both places although not so keen on some of the new finish the managerial day job and get home, take suit off put the hippie clothes on and go to a gig/Glasto types (they know who they are). I remember Calstock back in the days of the old hall, last gig was epic. As for the unicorn comment I remember some wag making a sign that fitted over French town that Calstock is twinned with that read "twinned with Narnia". Made I larf. ------- [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
