| Even the mod team have now thrown a curve ball in.
Rickler in feeding people tit-bits to spread rumours via PM shocker! Shocking revelations surrounding a former forum hacker emerged last night. Unhinged ATD mod, Greenjock dropped the bombshell while bewildered onlookers scratched their heads at a post that could blow the internet (or at least a lesser known football forum) apart. "Och aye! The bonny wee laddie from o'er the pond has been feedin' me with rooomers and I cannae post 'em - he should post 'em hi self so he shouldnae, you ken" he declared (in a terrible attempt at phonetic Scottish). Last night, Rickler was unavailable for comment as he was said to be 'by the pool' (not a euphamism). Stay tuned for more shocking revelations in tomorrows ATD Daily.

A big part of the job has been to try to spot the usual suspects finding their way onto here and causing problems. (Though sometimes I think ATD don't like it up em and go running to teacher to stop the nasty boys being .....errr ..... nasty). Another part of the job is to stop people posting "unacceptable" material - whether that be things such as 'porn' or posts that may lead to potential legal issues.
Another part of the job is to stop the site decaying into chaos. That's the really difficult one! One person's chaos is another person's normal behaviour. It was felt that the constant mutual abuse/provocation between the usual suspects was getting ridiculous. Too many threads were being taken over by personal wars making it impossible for other posters to enjoy the site. This site should be here for everyone. The argument had become more important than what was being argued about. Arguments are fine. Nobody in the mod room thinks they're not. But it was coming to the point where if suffered had said it was raining the come-back would have been "Don't be a cnut, it's not raining in Auchtermuchty!" Or if sensible had said he thought that he thought the pitch looked in good condition he would have been told to "Feck off and stop being a cnut you boring old man." What next ...... arguments in Pete's Word Game?! I'm This site should never be a totally un-moderated zone. There will always be disagreement over mod decisions made close to the boundaries. I think Sir Frank's analysis is a fascinating one. (And I agree with GOB that SFD was saying it may happen in the future not now.) It is up to individual responsibility to make sure the ethos of the site is maintained and that is an ever-changing ethos.
I disagree and don't think you moderate at all. I've been just a reader until now and felt compelled to point out your mistake. I've seen so many posts go unmoderated. Argyle fans are abused and insulted on a daily basis. I've seen club officials insulted, I've seen players and the manager ridiculed and the owner called names I wouldn't wish on anyone. Ive even seen death threats, personal abuse, threats of violence and downright lies and nothing is removed. It's not free speech, it's hate speech |

| Before everyone rounds on this new member, that's a pretty powerful first post and it's kind of true - threats of violence have been posted (even though they might have been done in jest), I've yet to see a death threat though. I'm not sure ridicule is on a par with a threat of violence and one man's LOL is another man's OMFG.
ATD isn't that bad though, there's worse places. Another forum I frequent has a thread about people wishing James Corden dead - that's quite low. There's another forum that allows a man to sell stickers too - that one is a real den of vipers. |

Then it's not really a threat is it and if that is what this fella is talking about it simply equates to one of three things, a) he is mistaken, b) he is unable to view comments in any context or, c) he like one or two others, is a part of the 'smear team'. Either way, for someone to read something that he obviously feels offended about for some period of time, has to be a bit wako (no insult intended!) I reckon we have a visit from our weekly friend once again.

| Death threats? Really?
There have been threats of violence made towards me from the site manager of the wonderfully moderated Pasoti site, along with threats of violence made to me again by the owner of the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti's son.
There was also a white feather sent by the owner of the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti to a man dying of cancer and various incidents like, excuse me Rickler, a PASB member snooping on myself and other ATD posters, and a spoof site set up by the owner of the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti site and one or more of the moderators on said wonderfully moderated Pasoti site where ATD posters were abused, and of course the owner of the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti site and his son made threats of violence towards an ATD poster and a regular Argyle sponsor, with the owner of the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti site's son throwing a pint of beer over an ATD poster which all happened in the corporate lounge and with the full knowledge of the Argyle owner James Brent, who classes these people as personal friends despite the things they do.
That's why the owner of Argyle is a wanker and a cnut in my eyes, nevermind the bullshit he spouts about being transparent and wanting the best for the club.
I also regard the club president as a lying slimy cnut for reasons I've given many times in the past and I regard Peter Jones as a cowardly two-faced cnut for the shit he came out with during administration which of course he's gone back on now he's got he's feet under the boardroom table as well as his snidey attacks made anonymously to a former AFT leader which surprise surprise took place on the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti site.
Other than that I'm right with you Andrew. I'm not keen on another main sponsor who is a bellend for his friendship with the owner of the wonderfully well moderated Pasoti site, along with his using a useless private investigator to try and trace ATD posters and his cringeworthy hiring of a plane to fly over Sid James Park when we we're staring up at Exeter from the foot of the table, a position we've occupied for the vast majority of James Brent's tenure.
I'm sure I've missed loads out but I'm sure you get my drift Andrew. Pasoti mods sending threats to female members of my family has kind of clouded my judgement somewhat but when you've had things like this happen to you it does tend to leave am impression on you.
Good to have you onboard Andrew, enjoy your stay. |

| I am certain that Andrew Dodd is a genuine poster.
This is ATD at its worst. I actually think that Andy has got it (almost completely) wrong but he certainly has a point. The everyday abuse on this site passes without question so often that the real outside world doesn't seem to exist. But as soon as someone challenges this site's normal operation he gets accused of being someone else, Nool's stool-pigeon or the man himself (yawn....). What the feck is wrong with people that they can't take someone disagreeing without getting all kiddie defensive/aggressive about it. |

| Maybe because they're using the real name of an ATD poster Knecht? Plus the fact they signed up 11 months ago and waited until now to post that then feck off.
I know you're more sensible than most but this is Newell or possibly Dr Liar having a bit of fun. Must get lonely for postey since he became a bachelor again. Nights seem longer in winter and need filling I suppose. |
