| Lidl's also do some very more-ish gingerbread with dark chocolate coating around this time of year. Not to mention the chocolate covered marzipan.
On the whole, I'd say continental xmas food is better than ours, but we're probably better at the old lights all over the outside of your house thang. |

| Between now and 3pm tomorrow I have to acquire (a) gobstoppers and (b) prizes in case the five year old's been good at school again, in which case both she and her sister (who's always good, at school and elsewhere) will have three smiley faces on their charts.
I had to make it a prize every three smiley faces, otherwise it would have seemed impossible to achieve and therefore not bothering to be good for. The prizes will, however, be small. |

Oooh, The Fortescue. My watering hole. You're not that lady with an ice-cream cone tattooed on your face, with a red mohican that sings the Chilean national anthem whilst accosting strangers, are you? Just thought I'd ask, seeing as this is the unpleasant experience I had in the Forty a few weeks back. |

| I got them day-glo slinkies. Two in a box, £1 a box. Pound shop innit.
Managed to get away without having any gobstoppers, but that won't last. |

| Scaffolding up, carpet fitters arriving in the morning, the next thing is who will be coming next? The roofers or the rain. |

| Just back from the school Christmas fayre. Spent lots and have lots of goodies in time for the festive fun including a set of minitures of Glynfiddich that are 8, 10 and 12 years old! It will be when they come out, when he finish and 5 minutes after we finish! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | On Friday the five year old was dressed as goldilocks. We went to a little carol service which featured the eight year old.
I've recovered now, I think. |

| Walked up the bar this afternoon, no runty cats or stray dogs followed us and the shepherd only had one glass of aguadente. A very nice peaceful and enjoyable walk. |
