Honey fungus is a nightmare and impossible to eradicate once in the ground, in commercial plantations urea (from pigs) is used, as soon as a tree is felled the urea is poured on the stump which then kills any spores that land on the new cut. Peeing on stumps yourself has the same effect. |

| get a mattock to its roots, theyre quite fiberous so should come out easy. dont use chemicals. dont use chemicals. dont use chemicals. the goodness of the soil will be killed too and then nowt will grow. obvious really, but youd be amazed at how few people realise that. |

| Walked to the bar today, (nothing unusual there) had to return home as our runt cat decided to follow us. Valuable drinking time wasted. |

| Every now and then you have a lovely weekend. This has been one of those weekends. I'm off all weekend, wifey is off all weekend.
Lovely doggy walks on Dartmoor and more local places and beaches. Argo win. Scumbags lose. Great food. Lots of frothing ale. Lot's of films downloaded to watch. KFC Friday night. Snugs on the couch with the central heating on. Turned the landline off. The Landlord down the 7 stars had a roaring fire going last night (didn't want to leave pub) Lovely, just lovely.
Now - what complete c**t is going to spoil it? |

| IVA (VAT) is 23% here. Stuck on everything to pay back Germanic f(r)iends for their lovely Trident submarines and bailout largesse .Tragically, wine now 40 cents a glass at best bar. Other bar warmer and 35 cents but donkey urine. Luckily, Port still 50 cents a shot (big). |

| Spent all weekend with family filling log shed that should have been filled in summer, general consensus is that my having ten weeks abroad during the spring and summer is at fault not them being lazy gits. went to Standard in the arvo and had a couple of pints of oyster stout listening to Jazz then back to a mates for a coffee then home to venison pie and roast potatoes and peas, like poi I've had a cracking weekend, hope you all did too? |

Sometimes, gluttony is sooooo good. |

| Taxiing the daughter to the White Rabbit to see Mallory Knox at 6.45pm last night was a bit of an experience - sooooo many drunk people staggering around Mutley Plain and North Hill - it was like navigating the land of the zombies. Scary |

In other news, I had my first mince pie of the year yesterday. |
