Klose was another recent Polish born player who played for Germany. Seems like all you have to do is invade a country and hey presto they're falling over themselves to play for you. I expect that means that England can have the pick of the Iraq and Afghanistan squad now.

Klose's father hold German nationality, Poldi (I think) qualifies through his grandparents.

Interesting bet I saw earlier, William Hills are going 5-2 that Townsend will start the first group game in the World Cup. Now unless he gets injured badly he's a certainty to start so I'm going to invest heavily in this as it's 2 and a half times your money which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than leaving it in the bank.
