Don't think I've ever bought apple sauce in the Co-op. That's why.

Proper influenza. Haven't had it in years, forgot how awful it is.

Peggy - singing Our House by Madness in Russian
Andy and no. 1 son - cupcake making (chocolate)
Knecht - Sudanese toilet habits (waxing lyrical)

Nick - sweetcorn (tinned, pricing of)
Cerbera - man flu

Finally managed to get the EDF website to accept payment of my bill, a week after I first started trying.

Going to the library in a bit. I love going to the library sunny

Otherwise, nothing about today is mundane in any way whatsoever.

Only ever had flu once in 41 years, and I was bedridden for 7 days, lost 9lb's in weight, and was still ill for about 2 weeks afterwards. Man flu I get 3 times a year minimum and it's ever so inconvenient Razz

Don't know why woment don't get affected so badly. My partner just buys some tissues and vitamin C and goes off to work sniffling. I need constant comfort, plenty of Beechams/Lemsip and at least 2 days in bed pale

Having a serious relapse. On the sofa, fire on, jammies and dressing gown and thick socks. Topped off with a fluffy blankey.

Chicken soup for tea, I hope.

I was going to cook puttanesca tonight before going out. But I couldn't be assed so I had a cheese and salami sandwich instead. And a cup of tea.

Me too. It wasn't what I was thinking as I dished it all up, though Embarassed

Another lovely sunny day, but it's gone flippin cold again. Good job I've got a spare duvet: snuggling might be in order later.

Just discovered a new Law of Science.

The more pieces of IKEA furniture you've assembled, the less likely you are to be able to find an allen key when you need one.

You always put them somewhere safe, then can't remember where it was.

A bit like having to buy a new tape measure and a stanley knife every time you go to B&Q

No matter how many I buy I can never find one

Mind you, I blame the weather.

See, the bright sunshine made it clear I needed to do a bit of dusting and hoovering (or rather Dysoning). In order to do a thorough job (which I always like to do), I started moving furniture around. In the process of this, I discovered a slightly wobbly leg on the little side table the four year old uses to eat her meals, do cutting and sticking and so on. (There's also a little chair to go with it, but that's not part of this story. It's green.) To fix the slightly wobbly leg on the little table, I needed an allen key, and finding one took longer than all the other jobs put together.

I do prefer the sunshine though.

At the vets this morning with the dogs (walked there, didn't drive). Mrs PP's groin is now sore. (I've offered to help).
One of Mrs PP's ex-workmates around for lunch, then off to the new Plympton library this afternoon.

Busy day. Mundane, but busy.

Oh, and I've hoovered (stacking up those brownie points)

Do people hoover to a schedule?

I do mine if I see something that needs doing. That way, if I don't look it doesn't need doing.

My neighbour does hers on a Monday. That's just about the only thing I hear through the walls.

I adopt the same excellent attitude as your good self, Knecht. Far too many other mundane things to be doing.

Hence the problem caused by today's weather, and the fact that the place tends to be cleaner in the summer.

I have a bag full of allen keys in my toolbox. I probably should have labelled them to correspond with the relevant piece of furniture/equipment. Oh hindsight, how beneficial you are.

Although I've got a bunch of allen keys on a key ring, I never seem to have one the right size.

Chocolate Cupcake update: George (#1 son) has managed to scoff most of them. I did have one, which was a bit naughty.

I think I'll make some Banana Bread later.
