And with good reason. It's not exactly the best bit of news an animal has to live with every day. I wonder sometimes if "consciousness" is the height of evolution, or just the beginning. I have often thought a mountain, river, or even a cat, are more evolved than us. Trust a human being to think humans are the peak of evolution... I don't believe that Darwinian/human/religious thing taught by so many and accepted without question.

Too much excitement and interestingness for ickle me ... cat

Got to go to the post office again today. Don't know why these people can't all order their stuff at the same time.

Since it's such a lovely day, I'll probably go for a nice walk across the park and use the post office in Stoke Villedge.

I'm in absolute agony with my back, and its making me really bloody grumpy. I've just taken Tramadol and Diazepam and am going to have a cider and a hot bath. And yes I do realise it's breakfast time.

I've got a shower and a bath. That's as well as the terraced shed and the rubbish chute.

Saw a dead owl by the A38 a couple of weeks ago. It was still there yesterday.

How do you know it was dead. It might just have been resting.

Maybe. But that's a long time to stay in one very awkward looking position.

Plus it looked a bit, um, ragged yesterday.
