There's a small hole in my duvet (dear Lisa, dear Lisa) and the stuffing's threatening to come out.

Suppose this means I'll have to get a new one.

I have got a sewing machine actually (quite good at making stuff, me), but there's no way I'll fit a duvet on/in it.

Yup. After we'd taken the six year old to school, been for a long walk down by Mutton Cove, stopped for a chat with a friend of mine, played with our shadows all the way home, then popped to my mum's to help her put her boots on and wave her off to the supermarket. And before we did some painting, had lunch, and I dropped her off at nursery. Amazing how much you can do in four and a half hours.

Nap time soon Sleep

Finally. One month and five days after I finished the horrible job I was doing, I've now received the £100 they still owed me.

Might be able to get my hair cut now Very Happy

Might be the beer I'm drinking, but I genuinely laughed out loud at that!

Not fair. I was told my avatar was scary so I changed it and now you're being horrible about my lovely new picture.

I'm telling my mum on you.

I am still trying to work out where the numbers were on your old avatars. I can't see them so I must be colour blind. Sad

Meanwhile, back to mundane things, I'm off to get a haircut.

Today I'm launching a new series of Peggy's Handy Tips for Life.

1. To make a painting overall for a small person, take one strong carrier bag (the ones from the Argo shop are ideal). Cut a big hole in the bottom and two smaller ones in the sides. Now take a small person, perhaps aged about four (but only just), tell them to hold their arms up and slip the bag over their head, allowing said head to go through the big hole and their arms to go through the smaller ones. Sorted!

Sadly, 'The Three Cooks', bakery in Crownhill village has closed. Sad

More than a minor annoyance, because their steak pasties were super tasty.

I'm thinking of lobbying Ivor (Dewdney) to take up residence in the vacant outlet.

Czar, what you need is a good old fashioned 'Dairy'. You could buy milk there.
