| Man flu, if you see ambulances heading towards Tavvy I have taken a turn for the worse, your prayers would be much appreciated. I gave up smoking yesterday as well so don't come close, if the germs don't get you my temper will. |

Could have been your Gran. Was her lounge South facing? |

| It's actually warm today, though blowing a gale.
"Conservatory weather", as Ma calls it. |

Could have been your Gran. Was her lounge South facing? Uncanny Chingers, Furzehatt Pk. drive in Plymstock and her lounge looked right down to Jennycliff, lived next door to a bloke called Morten Harket. |

Aha. I know what you're talking about, Iggy. Although I'm home, I'm not wearing my new slippers at the moment. Keeping them for best, innit. |

| Scratting - there's a word to savour. I've no idea what it means but I shall use it at every opportunity in future. |

| Lovely rustic word for rustic activity, pulping apples down ready for pressing.
Feel a bit guilty doing couple of binloads through a wood chipper in matter of minutes. |

| Pah. Scratting is slobbing around all day in an old trackie, old slippers and slightly manky hair. |

Do that everyday, but no apples involved. |

| If you have new slippers does that mean your scratting days are over for the time being? And if you're into ballet/dance TG .... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .... I shall be running the bar that evening. And not looking forward to it. |

| No, Knecht - the new slippers are for best. Do keep up Took my old mum to the library yesterday afternoon. It was the first time in ages that she's felt well enough to go, which was nice for both of us - not least because she could choose her own books instead of having to endure my choices. It also gave me a bit more time to choose my own: I got some educated wanker books and some CDs of Alan Bennett reading Winnie the Pooh. |

Double pah. Sounds a London that innit. Nicely warming 7 gallons @ 6% (unless I sneak another kg of sugar in dreckly). Not a bad yield. |
