I can see why they've banned me to be honest if I put myself in their old man shoes. They seem to think my style is abusive whereas half the time, it's just a mix of internet culture and piss taking - people take themselves far too seriously sometimes. Essentially, it's the easy option to just silence that dissent.

It'll be interesting to see how pasoti ends up - I'll predict it becomes a safe haven for Newell. Nobody can ban him, he can edit anything, he can close the site if he wants to. He holds the keys. It's a vehicle for browny points to get him further to his goal.

He sits in the Directors box as there isn't anyone who wants to. Sponsors are thinning out in this league. We used to have big companies sat there during the championship days but now we've got some bloke who owns a newsagent who's decided it's his birthday and he'd fancy a posh-ish day out for a few hundred quid. If the big sponsors return, Newell will be gone. If a new owner comes in one day (and they will), Newell won't be needed to raffle off a signed sock. If we were having proper corporate hospitality, we wouldn't have the fanfests. A new owner wouldn't want Webb as President. One day, Newell will have to go back to sitting with the plebs. He won't like that.

Banning me is a means to an end for him. I won't be the last. The end though won't be what he thinks it is.

Pasoti can tart itself up but as I've commented elsewehere, with the new co-owner and site manager, it will quickly return to the old days of deceipt, unjustified bannings and multi accounts.

I believe that Newell bought the site, so that dissent against the akkeron plans could be quelled. Unfortunately for him, the AFT WG have come up with an excellent well thought out plan that 90% of NORMAL REAL argyle fans can only see one logical solution. He can't ban a couple of 100 so now the multis are starting. They are so bloody obvious- sign up recently (apr 2013), post as much as they can on the development threads, very pro-JB/ akkeron plans, anti AFT. We called out Deadly Lampshade, Derrick Sanderson, Windsor Boy and many more and they now use Helen Richards, happyclapper and I would guess more are in the pipeline.

They're allowing it to happen as if they don't, they're out. At least Pedlar has some morals. I think your question was rhetorical though.

To be fair, big political parties get their staff to do this over social media and in the letter sections of newspapers to create an illusion of support. They're a bit more subtle though.

I'm glad I'm banned in a way but it would have been nice to do a big expose before I was shot out of the ban cannon.

I suspect that Newell told Brent that he could deliver a compliant fan-base, hence the gifts for Newell. He shot himself in the foot massively by helping us to build ATD though, can you imagine what pasoti would be like today if ATD didn't exist?
