That's the bit that I don't get which is why it must have mistakenly come from a data base somewhere and was somehow confused between Punch and VG.

Someone has made an almighty fek up!

Where is Punchdrunk anyway?

Depending on what sort of a reply is forthcoming from Philip Ross Solictors, it may be worth getting advice from the Information Commisioner's Office who enforce the Data Protection Act 1998.

If there has been a breach, heads could and should roll.

Might be handy to do a bit of researching.

I agree and you can also get the first month free. I'd advise anyone to take advantage of this.

Every time you think it can't get any worse, it does.

Village: seeing this solicitor has used dubious information to issue this letter, you might want to follow it up with the firm, and then with the Solicitors' Regulation Authority.

I can't post a link (yet), but it's sra dot org and there's a page called How do I make a complaint?

That's the bit that I don't get which is why it must have mistakenly come from a data base somewhere and was somehow confused between Punch and VG.

I really don't know. The only thing that I can guess is that somehow and somewhere Punchdrunk and VG are both on a data record somewhere and that their real names and addresses got muddled.

If that's correct and a data base does exist then it would indicate that not only does the data base store the names and addresses of Argyle fans, but it also stores the user names of ATD users and possibly pasoti users as I believe that Punch Drunk has had a pasoti account in the past. That's concerning!

Can a pasoti user ask if pasoti does indeed have a data base of it's users?

Unless you ask to be hard deleted all personal information is kept on a database by pasoti.

Its in the user agreement somewhere.

Taken from the Pasoti agreement:

By registering to join this website, you agree that the information you provide can be held on the forum database. Your details will remain in the domain and, unless required to do so by "any interested party" with regard to legal enquiries, will NOT be given to anyone.

So they have a database of member details.

That is possible, but i find it hard for anyone to get names and addresses of users on here on there if vg says he hasnt used it and without knowing an old account of his he may have had on there in the past as being is his so the IP could be passed on and checks ran.

whatever happen its a clear rules where broken and it needs to be addressed.

That's interesting, I have an email denying that's the case from the pasoti mods, hopefully I will still have it somewhere.

When I was banned from there all of my posts remained and I could search for my old username on there.

Then when some arse used my real name to register an account on here I knew it had only come from Pasoti.

I emailed demanding ALL of my personal info be deleted and surprise surprise I can no longer search for my old username on there.

So if somebody has used the info from that very database to pass on some personal information about "punchdrunk/village green" then a number of laws have been broken.

Amongst those laws it is illegal to perform a credit check search without permission from the person the check is being done on.

If that is how village's address became known someone better have a good lawyer of their own.

If that has happened it would also effect their credit record?
