| It beggars belief how a simple email couldn't have been sent pointing the offensive post out.
Alternatively that is what the abuse report function is for, making us aware of posts that are wrong.
We complied with the instructions and removed it as soon as we were aware of it as was requested in the notice.

| The use of litigation is open to us all (easier if you've got money to waste though) and I have no problems with the course of action Nikk took. We took down the offending post and apologised to him as soon as we were aware of the complaint. However, if you live by the sword you must also be prepared to die by the sword. Village Green, quite rightly, has made the threats made to him public. The ball is now firmly in the court of Phillip Ross and Co and their client. I hope their response is as speedy as this site's was to the original complaint. |

I don't know why but I reckon she's Russian or eastern European. She's from Ukraine and called Svetlana Yevtushenko. We met in a bar when I was in Kiev recently. After a few hours of relentless persuasive tactics, I finally agreed to go back to her place for a filthy session. We're currently engaged, and she'll obv be dropping the 'Yevtushenko' when we're married later this year. All ATDers will be invited -even knecht, as long as he doesnt wear the jumper... |

| Punchdrunk and anyone else thinking 'it's only the internet' should actually stop and think before they press that 'send' button.
I've read numerous accusations including the use of the phrase 'loan shark' on here. That's untrue, it's irresponsible and it isn't how decent people should behave - have a word with yourself if you think otherwise.
Calling someone a cnut isn't nice but using language that questions someone's being is way, way OTT. |

i think its an exercise to show that those who dont use 'real names' can still be tracked down even when they havent posted anything!!!!!! those of us who post on other sites WILL be targeted at some point. |

| Nobody is arguing that the action taken was fair and punchdrunk's comments deserved the course of action.
The point is somebody has given them the wrong details of a poster on here.
How did they get those details in the first place? |

Calling someone a cnut isn't nice but using language that questions someone's being is way, way OTT. He's not a loan shark, he ONLY charges 23.4% interest on secured loans where you can lose your home, against the 6% I'm forever being offered by my bank, unsecured I've e-mailed the Pasoti mods asking for confirmation that they no longer hold any information on me, which is what they suggest in this statement about data protection, and they also say that they do not give ANY information to 3rd parties. This will make the reply from Nikkk and his dodgy information really interesting, because the provider of the incorrect details has an awful lot to answer for. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]In my e-mail to the Pasoti mods, which i doubt they will even reply to, I have pointed out that Ian Newell who isn't a Pasoti mod has information saved on his Flickr account which relates to me, and that this information has come from Pasoti which is breaching the data protection act. I've had enough of their shit now and if they don't reply I'm going to take it further. I've copied my solicitor in on the request and will give them a few days to respond which is a reasonable time frame. I urge everybody else on here who doesn't have a Pasoti account anymore, because I really do think that all of this crap eminates from a current Pasoti one and one who claims to be a former one. This kind of stuff needs to stop, and so does the throwing around of allegations I must admit, but being a bit of a cnut online and breaking the law are two completely different kettles of fish. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops now |

Hello Jock ( Pete ), I lived on a small island in Orkney for many years, so Old Norse was all around me then, Cnut was famous as a King, of Denmark, England and Norway, hence the Old Norse connection. He died in 1035, I believe his bones are in Winchester. We ( as a Nation ) knew him as Canute, King Canute. But he was a Cnut in Norway and Denmark. So when I see Cnut I am reminded of this amazing King, I am happy to use this name, |

I have been so proud to be associated with him through being called by the great man's name, that I have even had an 11th century photograph restored and use it as my avatar. Long live King Cnut! |

| I sometimes see IJN as King Cnut, sitting in his chair, with Brenty behind him being assured that the incoming tide (of disaffection) won't reach him. Very apt name then |

Thought I recognised her ! Think she spends most of her time in Cyprus with her Daddy, who enjoys the odd vodka in my local. Strange fella. Always wearing sunglasses and accompanied by a couple of huge chaps in Armani suits. Love the Greek Cypriot capitalism................ COWS AND CAPITALISM EXPLAINED: AMERICAN CAPITALISM You have two cows. You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has dropped dead. GERMAN CAPITALISM You have two cows. You reengineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves. BRITISH CAPITALISM You have two cows. Both are mad. FRENCH CAPITALISM You have two cows. You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows. ITALIAN CAPITALISM You have two cows, but you don't know where they are. You decide to have lunch. SWISS CAPITALISM You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you. You charge the owners for storing them. CHINESE CAPITALISM You have two cows. You have 300 people milking them. You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity. You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation. IRAQI CAPITALISM Everyone thinks you have lots of cows. You tell them that you have none. No-one believes you, so they bomb the **** out of you and invade your country. You still have no cows, but at least you are now a Democracy. AUSTRALIAN CAPITALISM You have two cows. Business seems pretty good. You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate. RUSSIAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You count them and learn you have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You count them again and learn you have 12 cows. You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka. GREEK CAPITALISM You have two cows. You borrow lots of euros to build barns, milking sheds, hay stores, feed sheds, dairies, cold stores, abattoir, cheese unit and packing sheds. You still only have two cows. GREEK CYPRIOT CAPITALISM You have two cows. You agree to pay the Russians to look after your cows. You loan those cows to the Greeks who don't give them back. The Germans complain because the Russians gave you their cows instead of them. The Russians come and take your cows. Now you owe lots of money and have no cows. |

Well that's Islam and anybody else who thinks our lord was spot on in chucking the money lenders of the temple with zero status in Hairy's rather restricted view of the world, but no great surprise there. Me, I say anyone that profits from usury is a loan shark and by definition is a drain on any decent society. |

Have a think about where your details have been used that link you to Argyle. I imagine the club have your name and address from ticket/membership details? Does your email address contain your real name and have you used that on Pasoti or here? If they have used the club database to find your details then they've well and truly opened themselves up for legal action. I hope they use the club database to find me, i've moved house 4 times since I last bought tickets online |

| Well done to VG for pursuing this. It's mind boggling how "somebody" has randomly tracked Punchie to VG.
I suspect we're looking at another case of IP addresses being of absolutely no proof of who is who. Where we've made that mistake we've apologised and learnt the lessons of IP tracking.
A threatening letter from a solicitor must mean what would have been privileged information has been shared with outside sources. There has to be consequences from that, for the solicitors involved at the very least. They must explain where their information was obtained from. |

| I would suspect its either a case of going to the police because of a breach of data protection, or maybe someone like the financial services authority (if VG's details have been found via a credit check). I think Frank has a number of contacts with the police who would help with this. |

| If you can get a copy of your credit report that shows any credit checks performed by companies.
Might be handy to do a bit of researching. |
