Chris Webb is just your everyday sell out who claims to have socialist views and trade unionist ethics yet sold out when offered a job.

So of course he will attack the very same organisation that got him known as he nearly killed it off by walking out on it and joining in with the attacks.

Tim and the trust keep going your starting to get to the puppets and that means your doing a good job.

Webb's diatribe is a prime example of everything that's wrong with this football club at the moment. Yet more advice to us minions on how to support a football club, from someone who posts as 'Mr President' but says his views are entirely his own.

Of course they are - as is your seemingly limitless self interest.

I've not agreed much with Damon in the past, but have to applaud his stance over this.

Bollocks. When I confronted him, he didn't 'thrive' on it at all - he ran away.

And whatever happened to that policy of not allowing posts naming people who can't post in their own defence? This is a disgusting attack:

Quote :
Firstly the spokesperson. I have worked with Ed for a long time and consider him a friend but a communicator? No. Let’s remember Ed did no campaigning whatsoever for either the trust or PASB elections, doesn’t post online anywhere and I have never seen him active in any other medium. Hardly the best choice to communicate with the Club and fans surely?!

What a complete and utter load of shite.

I just can't believe a word that comes from ANYONE 'officially' linked to the club. Whatever our concerns, they are continually being dismissed out of hand immediately as far as I can see. If Brent is truly 'pissed off' by every defeat wouldn't you start getting rid the main problem - the management team and the guff he signed. That's an awful lot annoyance for your buck over the last year.

I don't want another sodding rallying call. I want freaking action! Words mean bugger all and that's all we ever get. Do me a favour Argyle - stop telling me how to support, don't expect unconditional positivity for £20 at the arse end of league two and answer the trust's questions. Oh yes and maybe get a competent manager and footballers in. Shit or get off the pot.

He proves time and time again that he is shocking at debates with people who can argue against him in a constructive way. Given his job i find it baffling how he still has it!

Time and time again he'll just go on about all sorts non related to the topic rather than stick to his point and debate it from there because simply he doesn't believe half the stuff that he comes out with most the time.
If he did, he could debate his views with others well without resorting to crying to teacher, claiming he is getting threatening posts and claiming "you know nothing" and "come back with facts" etc etc.
Also, he wouldn't throw tantrums every time he doesn't get the responses he wants to his never ending rally cries which there is nothing more annoying than being told how to support your own club. Claims we should be grateful we have brent as a chairman maybe but atm despite your claims he has shown and done nothing to suggest he is init for the right reasons and not just for property!, endless bollocks about "football firsts" that have all but failed everyone one of them and the favorite "look how far we have come" being 20th in league 2 still!. The fans want a football club to be proud off not an experimental youth club as at the moment the club isn't going forward just backwards.

Simply look how he was quick to accuse Damon of all sorts rather than answer the questions which Damon's questions where all fair and above board but in truth he cant because he is nothing more than a yes man who sold out on his trade unionist beliefs. A spin doctor but not a good one sums it up.

The fact of the matter is he didn't "lead" the Trust in any meaningful way, every question I asked him about AGM's and submitting of resolutions were brushed aside as fighting the "war" was the only priority.

IMHO he came from nowhere and used the Trust as a vehicle for self advancement and the evidence since then doesn't do anything to contradict that opinion.

He doesn't represent me as a fan, he embarrasses me.

I could provide a constructive, questioning and mildly intelligent reply to Webb's comments, but he's not worthy and there better things to do than to nurse an ago of such a disgraced character, a character that I'm embarrassed to share a stadium with.

So on the basis, I will just say "Wanker"!

If you ask me Webb's received an order to deflect the criticism that Brent is picking up at the moment.

A bit rich to criticise Ed - at least he stood for election. The fact that he was a successful candidate on 2 occasions would suggest he is doing something right. Surely if he was as invisible as our President implies, then people wouldn't have voted for him.

Exactly what percentage of the fans - both Members and POTDers - who turn up to watch the fare on display actually bother with internet forums anyway?

I haven't been to HP more than a handful of times in 5 yrs. The predictability of where we were heading as a club when Holloway was not backed. The internet bullying by the dimwitted farm politburo. The obvious personal positioning/cosying up to any fine gentleman who might give them the keys to the executive toilets, have left me totally bereft of any desire to be part of the most embarrassingly parochial city club in England.
I won't be going near the place until the village idiots have been shown the door. I will join the Trust though, as I think it is going to be needed before too long as the only true voice of the potential fanbase. Watch the Deepthroating Windsor Boys try to climb aboard the Trust if it gains momentum due to the shambles now so evident at the club.

What on earth does Fletch have on Brent to stop him doing the obvious and getting rid ?

Chris seems to think that people who don`t attend games can`t express there own opinion which is total bollox. We are all allowed our own opinions if we attend games or not.

Chris is just trying to justify his position even though he knows deep down he has sold his soul to the devil.

Utter bollocks from Chris Webb. He sold his soul to Brent a long time ago.

Behind the initial bluster there is no substance. He can't even answer simple questions like "why did a private email from Rickler to you when you were the Trust chair end up on Newell's Flickr site"?

Fortunately, only the dimmest and most compliant supporters still hang on every word.

Time is running out for Brent's jamboys and sadly for the club too.

There are quite a few such simple questions which require a simple one or two word answer that he can't or actually won't answer.

His friendship with Newell, Hooper and Jameson tells it's own story. Now it's attacking the Trust and PASB, yet he walked out out on the Trust for a badge and title, very socialist behaviour! Doesn't say a word when club employees are being made redundant. Why is that when he is a man of the people who would call for comrades to walk out and strike for the slightest thing in his day job?

How do you change principles the minute you leave your work environment? Between 9 and 5 your a socialist, trade union official, then you turn your coat inside out to join the others at the Argyle trough? Talking about pensions funds making huge amounts of money, but that X amount of people will lose their job at the club you love? These people who probably look up to Chris Webb.

How do you tell me names face to face, assure me X has done this 100%, no doubt about it, then have the barefaced cheek to speak to the same person and give him a load of old bullshit about the same thing? I showed a load of Chris Webbs text messages to me to someone yesterday, just to show someone what a load of shit he comes out with. To show that I'm not making up the details that I have posted this last 12 months.

He is joined at the hip to one of the most disgusting creatures I have ever had the misfortune to come across in Ian Newell. Who lies as a pasttime. Who gave his son my e-mail address so that he could make threats of violence to me, and then when it gets made public Newell makes up the most preposterous of excuses that his son "found" my e-mail address and decided to quote lines of a violent film to me scratch

Webb questions the PASB's choice of spokesman! WTF does it have to do with you Webb? You tell people whn it suits you that the PASB is nothing to do with you!

He attacks the Trust openly now, which I suppose beats hiding behind pseudonyms to make cowardly attacks on the Trust, but it just shows how deep in Brent's pocket he actually is. Having a go at Damon for speaking out, yet if you listen to Webb big himself up about the role he played in "saving" the club, he can't wait to tell people how outspoken he was. Yeah right. Really outspoken towards the slimeball that is Peter Ridsdale.

And what a gang of mates. Chris Webb, Ian Newell, Ian De Lar, Wozzer, Lee Jameson and other such esteemed people. The common goal is attacking anyone they don't want to be in a position of fan engagement. Now it's Ed Shillabeer. Ed feckin Shillabeer getting stick for putting his neck on the line FFS. I think the reason he has been singled out for criticism today is because the gang can't exactly start an online campaign against someone who doesn't participate in online forums. A longstanding vet who raised fantastic amounts of money for charity without a hint of the despicable activities that it has been proven that Ian Newell takes part in.

Why don't you publicly criticise Ian Newell ever then Chris? By text or by telephone you are happy to label him as mentally ill yet you won't say a bad word about him that he will see. Why's that Chris? Does Ian Newell have evidence of any wrongdoing that he could release if you cross him? Lets face it Newell doesn't have any problem in dropping other friends in the shit if it suits him. Jameson has experienced it twice at least and yet still runs around like Fatty's lapdog. Newell kept screenshots of Wozzer's involvement in the Deepthroat account, just in case like. It's always worth keeping things like this just in case of a falling out anytime in the future.

I actually thought that Chris Webb might be o the verge of giving up the President's role because of everything that has happened recently, the shit the club are in, but obviously the snout in the trough is too irresistible to give up.

The whole lot of them make me puke.

Thanks for this thread folks. This is my first post to this forum (although I was a user of ROTG back in the day and it's good to see some familiar names again) and I must say that I until recently I thought I was alone in thinking that something didn't quite add up about all this.
