We had a delivery of blocks, sand and cement today. It was due yesterday, but due to fires in the area, the delivery driver had to go to fight them. He (and stuff) arrived this a.m. then left his truck, keys and everything else for us as he ran off to fight yet another fire.
Saw a red squirrel (with black fur) and an imperial eagle. Dubbya's death has also been delayed by 1 day. What an exciting life Smile e vida. Roll on tomorrow. More fires, more yellow or black skies, but most importantly, a dead pig.

I'll be bbq'ing a few rashers on the beach later this afternoon, so shall raise a toast to Dubbya.

May he produce many a rasher, many a chop, and gammon steak aplenty...

RIP Porky... pig

Sigh! I know Peggy is taking a bit of a sabbatical but that's no reason to interfere with her MUNDANE thread by posting stuff that is impressive. And, anyway, I thought an AKG was a sort of gun.

There have been a few forest fires in the area surrounding a place called Arganil. Dubbya died very quickly and has given us a lot of lovely meat. In comparison to other pigs, his meat is a little stronger which we think is down to his father being a Javali (wild boar). Big thanks to piggy for all the shit and all the meat Smile

Only on the roses (and a bit for the dogs and cats) this year. The only bit of pig left is a bit of half digested gut innards (in with the chickens) and the memories of his oinking at breakfast and tea time. Oh and his poo.

Yeah. You could at least have reported on whether the biscuits were on offer. And how many extra nectar points innit.
