| 1-0 to the Krauts. Only surprise is that it took them 38 minutes... |

| Ah but the Greeks are beating the Germans hands down (or glabella up) in the battle of the eyebrows tonight if eye hair was deciding the game the Germans would be back in the changing rooms talking fiscal union and monobrows already

Very true. I must say I'm liking the Polish tv directors tactics, which seem to consist entirely of scanning the crowd for fit-looking women, and then zooming in on them. A couple of cracking Germans just now. I'd like to give him a virtual 'high-five'. |

| Thank God Engand will be knocked out before they can be throughly humiliated by the Germans. Germany are probably the best team in the world let alone Europe. To call Germany v Greece a complete mismatch is an understatement of gargantuan proportions. |

I'd like to give him a virtual 'high-five'. Nice Greek bird then as well. They all probably got hairy armpits though. feck me Greece equalise! Germany resting their top players might not be such a good move now. |

They like their facial hair as a whole really. Beards are most definitely in. Number 6 has a fine full bodied beard, whilst a number of others go for a more conservative George Micheal look. Actually wasn't he Greek? 1-1 lol |

I'd like to give him a virtual 'high-five'. Funnily enough I'd just said I'd like to give those German girls a virtual 'frankfurter' (they look a little peckish that's all) |

| Easy innit. Even as an Englishman, the thought of this German team taking on the Spanish team (if firing on all cylinders) will be a spectacle to behold.

| My Mrs commented on the TV guy and his picking out of the blonde bimbo type in the crowd last night. She said it was totally unfair and there should be one for the ladies as well. He then zoomed in on a fat bloke with a beard. I said there you go then and her sharp reply was "well even he had to have tits". |

| So it's Germany, Portugal and Spain or France and finally Italy or England. Not a bad semi-final line-up whoever gets through.
Apart from Holland's early exit, that's got to be as strong as it could possibly be.
The Euro's are probably as difficult to win as the World Cup, and after all the games so far, there still hasn't been a nil nil. Not every game has been high octane stuff, but I can't recall too many dull games, and I reckon Spain v France tonight will be a cracker.
England under Hodgson have been likened to Italy in the 80's, so they will be playing Italy at their own game tomorrow night, and for this reason I think Italy will win this one.
The ideal final for a neutral would appear to be Germany v Spain, and if Spain go on to win it they should probably be heralded as one of the best sides ever. To win 2 Euro's and a World Cup in between would be an amazing feat. |

| That's pretty much how I would view things Jock. I don't think the Euros are quite as difficult as the world cup, less games, played on familiar territory more or less and the absence of 2 of the strongest contenders in Brazil and Argentina but yes not too much in it. My heart really wants England to do it tomorrow but my head tells me we have never ever won a knock out game in a major tournament against any of the leading nations, apart of course from the home advantage we had in 1966. Surely after all this time we can for once win when it really matters? |

| I thought I'd had a divine vision in the middle of the night when I was awoken to hear my wife's fanny saying "England will win the Euros", but when I told my mate about it this morning he said "Nah there's a lot of twats saying that now". |

The problem with the World Cup is that wherever it's held it gives somebody a big advantage. That's why Spain's win in South Africa stands out more for me. I suppose if any European country were going to win the World Cup in South America, it would be Spain in Brazil coming up. Qatar in 2022 is a total handicap for most European countries, even if the matches are played in air conditioned stadiums, and I can't imagine too many England fans will be rushing to spend weeks there in their Union Jack shorts. It may be the first World Cup where you can buy tickets for the match and straight afterwards get to see a public flogging or stoning. You then get teams like Mexico and South Korea who have fantastic FIFA rankings, but outside of their own continent they never perform. I think Uruguay are currently ranked 3rd in the world, but if they were to play on European soil, other than maybe Spain or Portugal, they would struggle against the better sides like Scotland. I thought the 2018 tournament being held in Russia was going to be abysmal, but this tournament in Poland and Ukraine has been handled really well and I don't see a problem with Russia hosting it now. Their domestic football is going through a real upheaval with world famous names being paid stupid money by the Oil Billionaires, so I would expect their stadiums to also be transformed by the time the tournament is held there. The early concerns about racism in both Poland and Ukraine have not really transpired, so I would have thought it could be stamped out in Russia by 2018. With England failing in their bid for the 2018 World Cup, I guess it will be 2030 before it is held in Europe again, so plenty of time for Scotland to grease some FIFA palms, literally with deep-fried mars bars, because unless were going to host a tournament, I can't see us qualifying for a fair old while |

| Looks like France's game plan is to pretend they're not interested in the slightest and hopefully Spain will forget they're even on the pitch and take it easy.
Seems to be working so far. |
