| Right I've got some details mixed up over the Mike Newell incidents. The drink throwing was by a mate of Newells previously but last week inside the club the same person confronted the other person again, and again he was there with Mike Newell and his father.
A barman had to calm it all down but the person being abused again did nothing to warrant or start any trouble. I have to apologise to him as well because he's not as old as I've said, but is still not someone who wants or has caused any trouble.
After that Mike Newell then starts threatening and abusing this poor guy again because he thought I was a friend of his and daddy had to drag Mike Newell away.
How feckin embarrassing is that for the club?
Mike Newell, if you want to find me you know how to contact me so just do it. Stop picking on people you think know me and ask daddy to pay his mate Hooper for my address. Not my mothers but my address this time.
This threatening and abusive behaviour was directed at someone who was invited as a corporate guest! That's what happens at home park at the moment, you are in danger of getting assaulted by Mike Newell and his friends. That'll have them flocking to book a corporate package in future eh?
Disgusting but typically Newell. |

| How thick do you have to be to immediately think that everyone who uses a website open to the entire world are friends in real life?
Oh wait, it's the Newell family we're on about.
I hope the person involved isn't put off from using this website, or from supporting Argyle as they wish to do. |

- Without being funny, lads, if someone is getting abused etc, unless you are there at the time to step in then it's not exactly wise to pre-plan a revenge 'attack'...take it through the correct authorities, that is the club (stadium manager was Dave Boobyer?) and the police (throwing a drink over someone can be classed as assault ffs - would you do it to a copper?).
The revenge attack thing was a joke Mock, but I'm with you 100% on the going to the Police business but the person who was threatened doesn't want that. Probably afraid that it would make things more difficult for him in future.
This is a lifelong Argyle fan fearing for his own safety at home matches because the club owners mate and his son are dishing out abuse?
The problem about going to someone like Dave Boobyer is he will know Newell and his proximity to Brent and would more than likely do feck all about it.
This is the level that club has descended to under Brent and his merry men.
The president has been involved, so too has a director and others who frequent the director's box. The Brent sponsored PASB has a rat on it who is a snidey little shit who is involved, and the largest Argyle fans forum is run by these people too.
What can you do? The target doesn't want the police involved and is probably mad as feck at me for bringing it to people's attention but this needs to be snuffed out and action taken. This isn't a bit of banter online it's a young thug who has made several threats to me now threatening another fan at the ground.
I know it wasn't exactly serious, the thought of your sister beating up Posty is mildly amusing.
I think contacting the club would help. They cannot ignore something like this, no matter who he's related to or friends with. I wouldn't expect it to affect Newell Snr's chaffeuring role, but his dimwitted fucktard son should be made aware that uttercuntery like this isn't acceptable. Word of the day. |

I hope the person involved isn't put off from using this website, or from supporting Argyle as they wish to do. Me too because he's been targeted for allegedly being my friend. So the score is in the corporate lounge the Newell family and their friends are allowed to do whatever they like without fear of reprisal from the club? That's enough for football banning orders for Mike Newell and his mate but I doubt very much the club will do anything about it. Book a corporate package at home park but be prepared to have drinks thrown over you and be threatened by the clubs commercial director and his family. Only £45 + vat per person. Home park hospitality where the drinks are on you. |

PMSL Surely only the Newell's are stupid enough to think you have friends! |

| You only have to see a few shots of them at fan fests and the like on GOS to appreciate what you're dealing with. The flabby, knuckle dragging, small cranial vault, mono eyebrowed dimwittery is self-evident along with inability to hold even the smallest amounts of shandy.

| If the club does nothing about it then go to the FA. I'm sure they would be interested in a club allowing this sort of abuse and doing nothing to stop it. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Much of the behavior of one or two or three Club officials should have been brought to the attention on the FL a long time ago. |

| That's what I was going to say, Gob. Face it, it's not as if at least one person on the Board doesn't know all about it - enough of us have tried to raise it. |

If anyone has evidence maybe now is the time to approach them. |

| I've spoken to the police about some things, but this would be up to the person getting abused or a witness to it to make the complaint. As I said the person who was on the receiving end of it doesn't want the police involved, probably because things could get worse for them if they did.
They have been abused and threatened whilst they were corporate guests in the business lounge, does anyone actually think that Ian Newell's son would be reprimanded for his actions in the club corporate area?
They are part of the establishment at Argyle so the incident would be covered up Pasoti style, "Nothing to see here, move along" and then the victim would probably be told that they are no longer welcome as a guest.

| I'm allowed to whinge, I'm old enough to qualify. I'm allowed to waffle on a bit for the same reason. It's you fecking kids who need proper guidance sometimes rather than acting like teenage delinquents. I am not eccentric GOB unless it was a miss spelling and you meant electric in which case we agree on something at least. Now shut the feck up I need a nap as I've just had my tea. |

Never heard a peep (as I expected) Frankly... They don't give a feck. Brent said so as much at the ATD meet and greet. Which is why I will never ever have any respect for Brent or want him anywhere near the club. He knows the despicable acts the scumbag known as Newell gets up to, and Brent condones it. Brent is like James Fox in 'The day of the Jackal', he looks so innocent, nice and normal, nobody can believe that he is a real nasty piece of work. |

That just could prove to be the most perfect analogy. Great film, even better book. I once stood next to Frederick Forsyth in a urinal in Torquay. Plainmoor. Small world. |

| As I've said, thugs the lot of them and I agree with Rickler, but if Brent thinks that the Newell's and Webb's are his heavies then he has a bigger problem then he thought! Nice to see a few very old posters returning to pasoti that seldom posted in the past and, also some very brand spanking new ones, all of course supporting the cause! |

Well it's absolutely paying off for him at the moment. Brent has brilliantly brainwashed the two of them and inturn they have both brainwashed the dim and stupid sheep online. The less stupid don't seem to give a feck enough to retaliate effectively. It's been pretty effectively stiched up so far. |

| I reckon either Newell could shit in the opposing chairman's pint glass and nothing would happen.
Remember the steward incident? If that was anybody else they would've been ejected or even banned, but here they are abusing and threatening guests, for the second time, and not a thing is said or done.
The corporate side of things is supposedly going to provide a massive chunk of Argyle's income from now on and Mike Newell and his mate are threatening corporate guests again and abusing them in front of others who probably think that next time they'll book somewhere else instead of having to witness that, and who would blame them?
Ricklers correct, Brent made it clear from the off that he didn't care what Newell got up to and has publicly backed him several times since. It's no coincidence that Newell was the "supporter" interview along with Brent recently over the HHP plans and he's the one who started the campaign to bring down the trust who could have been a stumbling block to Brent's plans.
Ian Newell would not have supported the owner or his plans two years ago and would've spread the word to oppose it on Pasoti.
For all Newell's hard work diluting the Trust support, he isn't about to be told his thug of an offspring isn't welcome in the business lounge anymore because of him and his friends behaviour, in fact Brent's probably glad that he has a midget bulldog onside who will provide more menace towards anyone not singing off the same hymn sheet.
It's all very well being able to censor and ban dissention amongst the fans, but nothing is more persuasive than the threat of physical violence.
Quite handy to have your own little action man and friends around the twist the arms of educated wankers who can easily win arguments through intelligence.
Fear is the key. |
