If Putin thought that there was any chance of some of his cities getting obliterated Mariupol-style, he maybe would have thought twice about starting this shit-show to begin with.
there was an agreement where Ukraine agreed to give up their nuclear Arsenal whether that included ballistic missiles I don’t know |

- Poo Tin had a list of five European countries that concerned him in September 2014 and these came about after it emerged that Ukraine wanted to join the EU in that very same year.
The five countries privately warned were Poland, Romania and the Baltic states - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Apparently, German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, reported that Poo Tin is said to have told former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko: "If I wanted, in two days I could have Russian troops not only in Kyiv but also in Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn, Warsaw and Bucharest."
The statement - if indeed the terms were made that way - show Poo Tin speaking about invading an EU or NATO country for a first time.
European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskist informed Politico in March 2022, that it could see Poo Tin increase his military aspirations and confront NATO in the Baltic Sea nations of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia should he win in Ukraine.

| Had trump said what Biden did he would have been crucified for it by the media and other world leaders. Biden wont be last long as president his approval ratings are the lowest ever for a president this early into their reign and the number is dropping still.

St Petersburg is very, very adjacent to the Barents Sea which is chock-a-block with American and British hunter-killer and missile carrying submarines. Such a war would certainly be an inconvenience for Putin as he wouldn't be able he spend the billions he's plundered off the Russian people. which St Petersburg are you talking about? My apologies sir, make that the Baltic Sea. It must have been over a year ago that I took in a book by the former captain of a RN hunter-killer who told of his trials and tribulations primarily around and about Murmansk and the White Sea dockyards. The books title escapes me but I'll try and rediscover.
As an aside, the author mentioned that on listening to a passing ship's propellers, it was was not only possible guess which class of submarine it was but the actual name of the vessel. The book title I was looking for was: Hunter Killers by Iain Ballantyne.

The submarine captain was Doug Littlejohn RN who, on leaving the service, took a job with the late Tom Clancy the author of, The Search for Red October. More here....

Yes I met a Ukrainian nutter in Sri Lanka who wanted a return to the old state of Rus set up by the Vikings, Ukraine was only part of the USSR from 1917 and since medieval was part of Rus with Ukraine always being more west leaning and ruled by Kiev and Russia being more East leaning and ruled by Moscow. They have a big ultra nutter population that led to the formation of Azov unit which are the Nazis the Putin has been talking about. |

| Cracks starting to appear within the Kremlin walls, apparently.
Putin 'feels misled' by Russian military - with 'persistent tension' between him and ministry of defence, US official says
Some fascinating quotes are emerging from US official who is suggesting a degree of disharmony has developed between Vladimir Putin and military chiefs.
The Russian leader feels he has been "misled" about the country's failures on the battlefield in Ukraine, they say.
According to the offiical, information on those losses and the impact of sanctions is not being fed to Mr Putin "because his senior advisors are too afraid to tell him the truth".
"We believe that Putin is being misinformed by his advisers about how badly the Russian military is performing and how the Russian economy is being crippled by sanctions, because his senior advisors are too afraid to tell him the truth," the official said on condition of anonymity.
And in perhaps the most significant quote from the official, they say: "There is now persistent tension between Putin and the Ministry of Defense stemming from Putin's mistrust in MOD leadership."
If this information did turn out to be well-founded, it may go some way towards explaining the occasional contrast in tones between some ministers and officials - whose signalling around peace talks has appeared more conciliatory at times - and the Russian leader - who has remained bullish and seemingly uncompromising in his statements throughout. War crimes, yes indeed. Yesterday Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba branded Russia "worse than ISIS", accusing invaders of killing "out of anger and just because they wanted to kill".LINK |

Yea they’re very brave brutal barstewards, murdering civilians, raping defenceless women and then murdering them, not so good against motivated troops though. |
