| Still got the headache from Friday's incident, although it's not as intense. Today I have mostly been examined in minute detail by a doctor who tells me there's no sign of lasting damage (RAY!) but that the headache could last a few more days yet (BOO!).
And I need to do the washing up. |

| Joe went in for his eye operation today. He's home with one eye shut and feeling sorry for himself. However, he's managed to wangle con his mother and me into getting him McDonalds for tea.
The good news is he is adamant he wants to go to school tomorrow, which is good because we don't get a refund on the fees.
Mercenary? Me? |

| If he's got an eye patch then I'm not surprised he wants to go to school.
Pirates, innit. |

| No patch. Nothing. Internal dissolving stitches.
Looks like he's done a couple of hard rounds with Vernon Penpraze (remember him?). Lying on the sofa with my sunglasses on. |

| He was a Plymouth boxer that got everyone at Westward TV wetting their pants when he looked like he might make British Champion back in the seventies. |

| Must be all this talk of deep throat getting me all steamed up. I was mighty disappointed when I found out the treblecocks didn't live up to their name. |

| #1 son has chickenpox. If you join the dots on his chest you get a picture of the Taj Mahal. Poor wee dude is really having a rough time of it, and his parents aren't coping well either. thankfully it should start to fade away by the weekend, but for now it's no sleep, bad tempers, crying and tantrums. And that's just the wife. |

Used to live in Pennycross and stood near where I did on the old Lyndhurst side. Got half killed by Barry McGuigan in a British title fight in Belfast and gave up boxing soon after. |

| I've now got gurt big bruises coming up on my elbow and my hip. The headache's eased a bit more, though.
In other news, I watched Trevor Macdonald on the Mighty Mississippi last night. Or rather, I viewed it while pointing at the screen and repeating (with a mixture of glee and nostalgia) 'Been there!' |
