In other news, I've nearly finished clearing my mum's old place, but there's still a lot to do in the new one, including most of the unpacking.
On Thursday, it'll be three weeks since we got the keys.
Sigh. Eating copious amounts of fruit and veg and clearing out usually go hand in hand. |

| I've just come back from Le Mans.
Had an excellent time at La Sarthe and watched more of the race than ever before. |

| To be fair we left last Tuesday and got back this morning at 1am, so a whole week away for a 24 hour race.
You're right. Not mundane at all.
Sorry.
I did watch two Somerset T20 matches in that time though (in addition to lots of excellent petrol/diesel powered stuff) |

| Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me!
I didn't dismiss it out of hand, I just pointed out that I would need beer.
I'm still up for it.
Meanwhile, you are about to receive a PM. |

Of course it's raining. I've just spent another day carrying stuff down two flights of stairs, depositing said stuff in the bin/recycling/my motor, walking back up two flights of stairs, picking up stuff, carrying stuff ... And, for a bit of variety (and at appropriate moments) driving said motor to the new place, taking stuff out of it, carrying it up one flight of stairs, taking it into the new flat, finding somewhere to put it, going back down to the motor, taking stuff out of it ... The end, however, is nigh. Nearly. Also went to Lidl on the way home. Bought bananas, salad and some lovely cooked beetroot. |

| Bought a second hand treadmill in Estover today. Got the address wrong so was knocking on the wrong door for 5 minutes, went back to the car and found that I needed 55 and not 56 (lucky no one was in). Expected the treadmill to be largish but it was a beast. The bloke lived on a hill and his house had steps going down. It half killed me carrying the treadmill (up to the car). I was still panting when I got to Asders to pick up the wife (who incidently wanted a small shop but spent bledy £75 ). If I never walk fast on the treadmill at least it gave me some exercise! |

| Like most people, I like value for money, and you wouldn't really expect to be totally ripped off pricewise by a huge national chain like B&Q, would you? Well, think again. The robbing bastards are now charging £1.41 - for one, yes one fu*king breeze block!! I needed ten to finish some awful botch up of a job I'd started ages ago, and so went there. I was shocked, but thought maybe that was now the going rate. So anyway I begrudgingly paid the £14.10, moaned quietly under my breathe as I did so, and left the shop. Anyway, after starting another awful botch up of a job, I needed about another 40 blocks, so decided to try Palladium. Guess how much? <<drumroll>> 70p+vat. So 84p a block! Ok, so the yard fellas up there don't have the finest customer service skills, and much like Totem Timber, most of them do seem a bit 'special'. Though they did seem to have mastered the art of unloading a truck, smoking a fag, pointing at random things, shouting at their mehts, whilst completely ignoring me (all simultaneously too). So in a way, respect. |

And, anyway, if I told you what I've been doing it wouldn't be mundane. |

| A large doll seems to have taken up residence now. It's very pink, and might be quite attractive but for the big blue smear where its mouth should be. I understand this was an attempt to put lipstick on it.
Maybe I should book Jock to give the four year old some makeup lessons. |

Maybe I should book Jock to give the four year old some makeup lessons. Of course Peggy, there is nothing worse than poorly applied make-up. I had a head start in life with my Dad being Fanny McTuckup, the world renowned drag artist, who taught Dame Edna everything she knows. I see these young girls going out clubbing in skirts that look more like belts, and looking like they put their make-up on in the dark, and I despair. If you need me I can be found in the Yellow Pages under TV's, inbetween hire and repair. Not an ideal place to be, as I often get calls from desperate men asking if I can find out what's wrong with their knobs. |
