| Elite sports to continue behind closed doors. For the short term anyway. |

yeap only way it would be postponed is if infection rates go out of control during the 6 weeks. |

| I think the EFL will come under increasing pressure to act if game postponements continue to increase in the lower leagues. |

| Two of Saturday's five L1 matches off due to COVID. So far no L2 matches off but that will soon change. When the gap in number of games played becomes too great that's when the EFL will need to do something. We've already played 5 more than Accrington. I think it will eventually be settled with average points per game again which should see us finish in the bottom 4. |

| Different circumstances this season, they have been too many games not played for that scenario to be used this time, in L2 last season there was only a variance of 2 games between all the clubs. Anyway at the moment it’s crack on behind closed doors, when the new lockdown produces the desired effect on infections plus increased immunisations I can’t see that the EFL season would be curtailed, maybe lengthened. So perhaps a bit positivity amongst all the hand wringing hysterical nonsense that seems to prevail |

| Tbf to the miserable bar stewards if the season is curtailed and it is looking more likely than managing to finish then we would be down around the bottom but I think we would just squeak above the relegation places at the moment. There are only a couple of teams below us with less games played and none of them are world beaters. On a positive note it may well play into our hands again as I wouldn't be more confident than fifty fifty to finish above the bottom four if the league played out. I'm sure that we would still be in league 2 if last season hadn't finished when it did it could be a good thing for us again. |

| Shutting down the season will mean the shutting down of certain EFL clubs.. for ever.
...and near bankruptcy for many more that will barely survive.
It should be an absolute last resort...

Luckily for Argyle.. IF the season should finish tomorrow using the PPG method we would still finish in 15th place! Good news, eh Freathy? No wonder you're impressed. How can you not be impressed? Freathy posts the same line that he has done for about fifteen years now (C&P foreshore) taking about ten seconds which then leads to you working out the points per game for the whole of league 1. Nool used to fall for it all the time. You really are a moron of the highest order. I didn't work that lot out, I copied and pasted from here (last column)' [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Talking of what Nool used to fall for. He fell for thinking people couldn't C&P stats. Seriously... How feckin stupid are you? |

| If the season ended now of course we wouldn't be relegated based on average points per game. The point is the way we're nosediving down the division when the season is eventually terminated and the points per game applied I fully expect that would put us into the bottom 4, if we weren't already in the drop zone by then.
L2 next season for Hallett's yo-yo Argo |

L2 next season for Hallett's yo-yo Argo All very good, except it hasn't been discussed yet by the EFL with clubs what will happen if the season ends prematurely. So in reality (I know it's hard for you go there) you are just guessing what will happen - much as you did last year and I don't think any of us have forgotten how spectacularly wrong you were then. Par for the course, of course. |
