600 staff off work? Should we bring back clapping for these clowns? That's the other 'big issue' (can't say that without shouting it out ) - staff! it's all dandy having enough bed and ventilator capacity to cope with the influx- it's having the feckin staff to look after Covid patients, init! End without question with the start of the vaccination programme from Astrazeneca. R rate already down to 1 today Johnsons been forced into this lockdown. Whilst I agree with it pity we couldnt have waited 2 weeks more for the tiers to have become effective but of course we had people whinging about Christmas dinners |

Am "surmising" before the cabal jump in that Astrazeneca know full well their vaccine produces strong antibodies on young and old (already common knowledge) but cant quite reveal it under lockdown thats about to start
I reckon from December 2nd huge roll out of vaccinations. I for one will be in line asap I read about that here Kate Bingham has previously stated that the first vaccine is likely to be "imperfect" and "might not work for everyone". She said in the Lancet medical journal last week that there will be pitfalls ahead. People should be aware that the vaccine may not stop infection, only reducing the symptoms instead. She went on to say that the vaccine may not be useful to those who will get the jab, and neither can they say how long the vaccine will last for. Huge gamble. |

Huge gamble. Unless you test for say two years you don't know whether it will be effective for two years. Also like the flu it can and will mutate and despite having flu vaccinations we haven't managed to wipe out flu. |

Head of NHS guy was more impressive than Whitty and Valance combined have ever been Harve, you’ve mentioned these allegations before, I’m no expert but unless you have 100% concrete evidence then your clearly at risk of a defamation of character if it’s reported, even worse is the risk to ATD. |

| Guardian today - ''Welsh first minister: time is right to end 17-day Covid 'firebreak' Mark Drakeford says early action will see Wales get to Christmas without further lockdowns
But the changes come at a time when there are as many Covid patients in Welsh hospitals as there were in April, and cases in some areas, particularly in parts of the south Wales valleys, have soared''
What are Welsh Labour smoking? Drakeford looking to be carted off to jail with Boris Harve? |

| Hundreds of people have gathered at a protest against the national lockdown in England. Witnesses say no-one appeared to be wearing a mask or abiding by social distancing rules at the protest in the centre of Manchester.
Video circulating on social media showed a man on a loudhailer addressing the crowd, reports Manchester Evening News.
He said: "Those 300-plus politicians that voted for the lockdown are treasonous."
Excuse me man on the loudhailer the vote went 516 to 38 in favour, you no doubt think it was a Tory measure and not one supported by Labour. Still, the crowd cheered, was Harve there?

| Unbeknown to me (prolly because I despise other humans) my nearest neighbour (roughly 800 miles away) is yer top man of Epidemiologistymaadoodaa thingy stuff at UoP.
Got talking to him at the pre-lockdown barn dance at the Royal Oak (village local).
He said the spread of CV-19 is an impossible task to try and stop. He said sooner or later, everyone will have or will be infected with it - this is unavoidable. Also used was the much maligned Titanic/deckchairs analogy!
He went on to say the media and governmental fuckwittery really isn't helping with their doomongering and end-of-the-world rhetoric re CV-19. 99.96% who get it will survive with either no or very mild symptoms.
As with most, I'm tired, tired of this shit. I want to get back to normal.

That just simply isn't true. The death rate alone is way higher than .04% Where on earth does this often quoted 'imaginary' 99.96% figure come from? |

Where on earth does this often quoted 'imaginary' 99.96% figure come from? I have no idea, Ricks, and I wouldn't even start to pretend I do. Twas just quoting a Epidemidoobyphobalobthingy guy from UoP. Much more importantly, a fantastic pre-lockdown night at the Royal Oak was had by all us country peasants. Folk band playing, greasy pig wrestling, tractor auction, dwarf throwing, Snuff-chuffing, minge-mongering and guess the horses arse concluded a damn fine evenings entertainment. PS: word in the village is we'll do it all again Wednesday Dec 2nd. |

This "Epidemidoobyphobalobthingy guy" must be trying to put one over you for some reason?. Nobody worth their salt could get it so wrong. Far from 99.96% of people surviving with "either no or very mild symptoms", the reality is, you have a 4.2% death rate in the UK. | Bozo press conference at 5pm. Some "chatter" that it will include a reduction in the 4 week lockdown to 3 weeks but I think it will solely be about Pfizer |

| Although good news it offers no short term solution. We will get 10 million doses by the end of the year and have ordered 30 million more. I guess it will go to those who need it most first ie. the Royals then Government, Whitehall closely followed by the wealthy then the elderly.
BBC News, "This news made me smile from ear to ear," Prof Peter Horby, from the University of Oxford. "It is a relief... there is a long long way to go before vaccines will start to make a real difference, but this feels to me like a watershed moment." |

Wrong as per normal but then you're only trolling for the reaction anyway. Rickler was certainly bang on with you fella Never met anyone so cynical. The long winter nights must simply fly by.... FYI not that you dont know it anyway but its for over 85's first, followed by Care Home Residents and then NHS staff and then dropping down through the age bands as we'd expect it to |
