| Hugh, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Remainers will be blamed, the bigger the feck up the more blame will slip from the teflon coated shoulders of the Brexit babes. _______________________________________ COYG!

| I would like to be a fly on the wall when Merkel and Boris meet up, I bet there will be some choice words used in the discussions.

Remainers will be blamed, the bigger the feck up the more blame will slip from the teflon coated shoulders of the Brexit babes. The plan is to get rid of the backstop, the last resort customs union negotiated by the Government back in 2017 to include the UK rather than introduce a customs border in the Irish Sea and hasten the breakup of the UK. The EU can't do that because it waould throw the Irish under the bus to placate a departing member and threaten the integrity of the customs union. We know that. We've told the Irish that they should sack off customs and regulatory alignment with the EU and stay aligned with the UK until such a time as someone invents the technology to deliver these "abundant alternative arrangements" that solve the Irish border issue. We know that's a ridiculous thing to ask to ask. Nevertheless the Government will blame the Irish and the EU for negotiating in bad faith. You couldn't make it up. |

| The Home Office has just leaked a report that states at least ten thousand people could drown in the event of a no deal when 30 million people simultaneasously wet their knickers. |

| Just seen Tudor Evans on Channel Four news talking about how the ports are not ready for a no deal and besmirching Ramsgate in the process.

| The recruitment and training of a thousand Border Force chaps is imminent, allegedly.
We have a negligible customs presence outside ferry ports.
Nine years of top Tory management means we are ready for anything. _______________________________________ COYG!

| Tudor has got a sad on because the Government doesn't consider Plymouth a major port and haven't allocated him any cash, with what two sailings a week? and non I think in Jan/feb I can see their point. |

Yeah, Ramsgate gets hundreds of thousands of pounds while Plymouth gets hardly anything. |

| It really is a shame that the MPs have fecked about for three years trying to prevent Brexit rather than planning an orderly one. |

People like my old foreman who was a Tory voter all his life but for some inexplicable reason read the Daily Mirror. In the early eighties he commented that he was a fed up with the Murrer because they didn't have a good word to say about Maggie. I bet he still reads it now. |

| Johnson is trying to get the EU to back down over the backstop. If we do end up leaving without a deal, it will not be the UK that builds a hard border, thus heaping the blame for the creation of any hard border and resultant angst/violence being created on the EU. A very dangerous game to play but it's all he has. |

| Jo Swinson warning Jezza over his no confidence vote.
"Jeremy Corbyn risks jeopardising a vote of no confidence in the government by insisting he becomes caretaker PM, Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson has said".
"But in a new letter, Ms Swinson said Mr Corbyn's insistence on being interim leader meant there was a danger not enough MPs would support the vote".

LINK The reason that all these lib, lab, Con, dem pacts are being touted is that they don't want a general election worried that the Tories would win that, maybe even electing Bojo again. To be honest if a vote of no confidence was carried a general election is the only sensible outcome. On the other hand they could just get on with the job in hand instead of fiddling whilst democracy is burned to the ground around them all. |

| Jezza forming an alliance to stop a no deal Brexit, while Boris keeps his cards close to his chest. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Nigel Farage says he will back Boris and a no deal but, would fight for every seat in a general election should government try to get the existing withdrawal agreement passed. Farage went on to say that if Boris was was sincere in doing the right thing, The Brexit Party and the government would be an unstoppable force should they work together to get a no deal over the line. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I can't wait until they all return to school after the summer holidays, the fun and games will recommence with haste. |
