| TBH the Ladapo saga has all the hallmarks of an agent trying to get him a move. If a team like Sunderland are after you, I think a player like Ladapo who, in reality has had no more than a good half season after being shown the door at his last club, would bite their hand off. |

| Plymouth Argyle could be about to capitalise on the uncertainty at Bury by bringing three of their star players to Home Park.
According to renowned journalist Alan Nixon, new Pilgrims boss Ryan Lowe is keen on raiding his old club to bring Jay O'Shea to Home Park.
O'Shea, 30, played an integral role in helping the Shakers finish last season as runners-up of League two and winning promotion. He scored an impressive 16 goals in 50 appearances for the club last season, but he is not the only one that Lowe wants to bring with him from Gigg Lane.
Striker Nicky Maynard is also said to be in talks with the Pilgrims, along with Danny Mayor.
Lowe was asked about the possibility of signing Mayor when he was unveiled as the new Argyle manager recently and paid a glowing tribute to the gifted attacker, who he felt could be out of Argyle's reach.
He said: “Danny Mayor is out of contract so he’s different, but in all honesty he’s a League One/Championship player.
“I would love to have Danny Mayor, no problem. I would fly him down, but you have got to be realistic as well.
“His missus has just had a baby, and he’s a home boy. When I was a player, I was fortunate enough I could pick my clubs and certainly Danny could probably do that.
“I think Danny is probably out of our league because of where he can go and what he can do.”
Maynard is a more realistic option, though, and has spent time playing in the south west before.
After coming through the ranks at Crewe Alexandra, Maynard was signed by Bristol City for £2.25 million in July 2008. He also spent three years at Cardiff after joining them for £2.5 million in August 2012.
Since then, Maynard has gone on to play for MK Dons and Aberdeen, from whom Lowe signed him for Bury at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Lowe's faith in a player released and low on confidence was rewarded as Maynard scored 21 goals in 37 league appearances as the Shakers won promotion from League Two last season.

| Argyle are also understood to have enquired about the availability of Peterborough United's George Cooper.
The 22-year-old is a former team-mate of Lowe's from his time at Crewe Alexandra, where Cooper came through the youth ranks.
Midfielder Cooper made 142 appearances for the Railwaymen, scoring 15 times, before joining Peterborough for an undisclosed fee in January 2018, where he has largely been used as a substitute, starting only 16 of his 42 appearances for the club.
It is understood that Argyle enquired about taking Cooper on loan, but it was rejected by the League One club, according to their chairman, Darragh MacAnthony.
He took to his personal Twitter account to reply to a fan that had asked him if Argyle were in for Peterborough striker Matt Stavens.
MacAnthony replied: "No. They phoned about [George] Coops but no chance we letting him go on loan somewhere." |

| Wotton's son signs as an apprentice- YOUNG Pilgrims Finley Craske, Rhys Shirley and Alfie Wotton have signed full-time apprenticeships at the club. After what had been an injury hit season for Finley, he was delighted to sign this week. He said: “I had been waiting a while, a lot of work has gone into it, and it’s a privilege [to sign the contract]. I have had a lot of injuries, so it was great to put all that behind me and move on.” Striker Rhys Shirley feels that he has had a good first year, having been involved with the under-18 squad he is due to join, and he has also sampled some action with the 16s. Ryhs said: “I am very excited, it was a while ago [that I found out I would be offered a deal]. We had a chat with Kevin Hodges [Academy Director] and Phil Stokes [Academy Manager] and they said they would like to offer me a contract. I felt I fitted in well and that I have played reasonably well too.” Defender Alfie, son of former player and assistant manager Paul Wotton, was “buzzing” to have signed on. “I had played some under-18 games this year, and that step up was difficult, you could see the difference,” said Alfie. It is inevitable that, at some point, the youngster will be likened to his father. However, those comparisons did not seem to worry the youngster. “Obviously, I do look up to my dad, he has helped me so much, but I do not feel any pressure [because of what he did],” said Alfie. “I just want to play my own game and play consistently, week in week out.” [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| We need to be realistic....this season is all about regrouping under Lowe him assessing the players we've got and then into the January window as well setting us up for start of the 2020 season for the push I think anyone expecting us to be top 5 all season is gonna be well disappointed |

| Don't a lot of players contracts run out end of this month?
I was giggling like a child at some of the posts over there about Lowe. Apparently he signed the deal a while before it was announced but the club kept it quiet until everything was completed. Some posters over there were writing crap such as "He clearly doesn't want to come here and is just waiting to see what happens with Bury. I don't want him here" and "If he doesn't want to commit to moving down here then I don't want him"etc of which literally nothing official had been stated.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Don't be surprised to see Jordan Rossiter rocking up, absolute terrier. Released by Glasgow Rangers and was quality for us last season, made the difference in stopping a leaky defence by sitting in front - oh, and another scouser . Jordan Bernard Rossiter (born 24 March 1997) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Scottish Premiership club Rangers. Rossiter came through the academy at his local club Liverpool where they described him as an "authoritative central midfield presence" with "an extensive passing repertoire with either foot and an eye for goal".[ angers On 13 May 2016, Rangers confirmed that Rossiter had signed a pre-contract agreement to join the club on a four-year deal upon the expiry of his Liverpool contract that summer.[29] Rangers agreed to pay Rossiter's former club a £250,000 development fee.[30] Rossiter made his debut for Rangers as a second-half substitute against Stranraer in the League Cup on 25 July 2016.[31] Rossiter suffered a calf injury at the end of August and spent nearly four months out, despite Rangers manager Mark Warburton suggesting he was "7 to 10 days out" on several occasions.[32] After five months on the sidelines, in February 2017, Rangers sent Rossiter south to receive treatment at England's St George's Park National Football Centre for a lower back issue which was causing recurring calf and hamstring injuries.[33] In May 2017, after eight months out injured, Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha revealed Rossiter should be fit for the start of pre-season training.[34] He featured in the early stages of Rangers' campaign, including once in the Europa League against Progrès Niederkorn before injury once again ruled him out for the majority of the season.[35] He scored his first goal for the club on 13 May 2018, in a 5-5 draw with Hibernian.[36] Bury (loan) On 31 January 2019, Rossiter joined League Two side Bury on loan for the rest of the season.[37] |

Plymouth Argyle have shown an interest in former Bristol City goalkeeper Frank Fielding, according to reports . The Pilgrims are in need of a new goalkeeper following the departure of Kyle Letheren and the end of Matt Macey's loan. Youngster Michael Cooper is the only first team shotstopper on the books and Ryan Lowe will be looking to address that as soon as possible. Fielding spent six years at Ashton Gate after signing for a fee of £200,000 and he made over 150 appearances for the Championship side. It is believed that a whole host of clubs are interested in securing his signature, which is no surprise given his experience. The 31-year-old has also played for Derby County and had loan spells at Leeds United, Rochdale and Wycombe Wanderers. City manager Lee Johnson said following his release from the club: "Frank has given great service to Bristol City and we thank him for all he has done for this club including helping us win our first title for 60 years and getting us back into the Championship. "Frank’s positivity and energy has been infectious, and he has been a key member of the squad. We will miss him and wish him all the best." The Pilgrims are the only team who will be plying their trade in League Two next season yet to make a signing. |

| From the 'erald- The Pilgrims are the only club in League Two yet to make any fresh additions to their squad this close season. They have also seen several key players leave Home Park, with striker Freddie Ladapo being the latest departure, and some of the Green Army are anxious about the lack of replacements. Ladapo completed a £500,000 transfer to League One club Rotherham United on Tuesday. The 26-year-old became the Millers’ club record signing as he agreed a contract until the summer of 2022. His exit follows that of Argyle playmakers Graham Carey and Ruben Lameiras over recent days. It leaves new manager Ryan Lowe with plenty of work to rebuild the Pilgrims’ squad ahead of the start of the 2019/20 season. Parkinson told Plymouth Live: “We have got a number of irons in the fire. Football fans want the new and want to know what’s going on. “But I can say we will be fine for the beginning of the season, for pre-season, and that we will have a great squad. “The next few weeks will be exciting in that Ryan will be building his team, one we know that will be exciting to watch. “There will be players from back to front, as well, which will be great to see. It’s a fresh time for the club.” He continued: “The other thing I would say, and it was the same with Ryan’s appointment, is that sometimes things are worth waiting for. “Ryan is here now, he’s fully committed to looking at how the squad is, but we want the right players too. “That isn’t about having numbers on the pitch. It’s about having the right style and blend, and all the things he would be able to talk about far better than me.” When asked whether there would be any new signings before the end of this week, Parkinson replied: “We are working on them. “You can never say a time for it, so it wouldn’t be the right thing for me to say that, other than we have got discussions with people. “If things can fall over the line in the time-frame then good, but as with everything we have found out over the summer period it’s not just a one party answer there. “We have to be a little bit patient, but I think everything is going in the right direction. “We are confident that we will have everything in the right place to give us a great start to the season.” [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
