Not Argyle related, but they do have a couple of our ex-players, but I passed the Cardiff City Team bus as I was leaving Callington earlier. I guess Warnock is on his annual tour.

I think Parkway have got a game lined up against Cardiff.

Cardiff U23s, the first team are in the states.

Who remembers when they were in the same division as us.

Me for one. I can remember when we were going down the tubes for £17m yet Cardiff owed £30m and I was thinking that it was only a matter of time before they followed us yet it just goes to prove that debt is immaterial and cash flow is king. We were so nearly there.

I can remember Cardiff mid-week Sept 2006....just left an OU tutorial up London.... walking back to Charing Cross and found out we were 0-3 down at Home Park.....got home to find out we had drawn 3-3.....two OG's and Barry Hayles.

I can just about remember when they were Division 4 during our late years under Kemp. Even though they were down to 4-5K they always had passionate support from the Dockers and the miners from the valleys.

Now they're playing lucrative preseason tours of the states whilst our prestige friendly is against Bristol Rovers.

I was there for that, absolute quality day, then wasnt it Mackies debut when he came on and smashed two in to equalise against the woolly backs or was it Scott Sinclair? Or was it Mpenza in the only game he tried in? I'm sure we had two three alls.
I as lo remember losing two nil up there around the same time when I got a proper kicking after being laid out with a punch to the back of the head whilst walking back to the car, proper cnuts all of them.

A person called pafc_casual on that other site reckons Moore will be signed in the coming days.

Ryan Lowe has admitted to having an interest in signing Wolves striker Niall Ennis on loan for Plymouth Argyle.

The highly-rated 20-year-old goalscorer is currently with Wolves on a pre-season tour to China.

Ennis was named among the substitutes for the Premier League Asia Cup semi-final against Newcastle United in Nanjing on Wednesday.

There was speculation earlier this week that Argyle were in ‘advanced talks’ over a potential loan move for Ennis.

Lowe told Plymouth Live: “He’s one of many on the list. Niall Ennis is a fantastic footballer. He has represented England, he’s a quality striker.

“But there are probably other clubs that are in for Niall Ennis, like we are in for other players.”

Ennis, who has represented England from under-16 to under-19 level, has made three Checkatrade Trophy starts for Wolves.

He also made his first team debut as a late substitute in a 3-2 home FA Cup fourth round replay victory over Shrewsbury Town in February.

Lowe is still looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the Pilgrims’ 2019/20 League Two campaign.

He added: “He’s probably one of five on our list. We are still out there, we are still looking, we know what we need.

“Look, he might go to China and rip it up, and they go ‘no, he’s not going on loan’. That’s why we don’t come out and say anything.”

Lowe has also been strongly linked with a move for Bury attacker Byron Moore, who he took to Gigg Lane from Bristol Rovers last summer.

Moore has 12 months remaining on his contract at debt-ridden Bury and played for them in a 1-1 pre-season draw away to Nantwich Town on Saturday.

Lowe has already signed Will Aimson, Danny Mayor, Callum McFadzean and Dom Telford from Bury to Argyle since he became manager in June.

Lowe said: “I’m getting a bit of stick for bringing in ex-players. Will Aimson went on a 14-day ruling.

Let’s not forget, he hadn’t been paid for four months, hence he was available.

“Danny Mayor was on a free, Callum McFadzean was on a free and Dom Telford we paid money for.

“I love Bury Football Club, everyone knows that, and I respect the fans.

“But if I’m in a position to sign these players who become available for free then I will look to do it, because someone else will look to do it.

“Byron is a fantastic asset. I signed him from Bristol Rovers but I have to be careful what I say. I have to respect he’s at Bury at the moment so I can’t really comment on him.”

With Ryan Lowe saying “Byron is a fantastic asset" no one would be surprised at his arrival if it happens

I very much doubt that this will happen, it's so so difficult attracting players from places like Bury, which is oop north btw, in fact it's almost impossible, I don't think it's ever been managed before, just keep our fingers crossed and hope for a miracle.
The previous paragraph is obviously tongue in cheek however I have lost count of how many times it was trotted out to hide the fact that no one wanted to play for Brent under his property first mentality and shite budget. Fraudulent green bastards.

Just been posted in the Herald

Plymouth Argyle are set to announce their seventh new signing of the summer on Monday.

Manager Ryan Lowe has been strongly linked with 30-year-old Bury forward Byron Moore, and also confirmed an interest in taking Wolves prospect Niall Ennis on loan.

Heard that when RL heard that Bury would start the season -12 points, he tried to get half of that for Argyle, to  go along with the half of the staff we've taken from them!

David Fox is on trial at Barrow and is close to being offered/signing a deal,

Fox has done enough to impress their manager, Ian Evatt, with whom he played with at Blackpool and Evatt is keen to get a deal done for the vastly experienced midfielder,

“Conversations [over signing them] have started – why would you not want to sign quality?" Evatt said.

“David played 40-odd games in League One for Plymouth last season and has had a fantastic career – he’s been promoted to the Premier League.

Wasn't that Kevin Keegan's tactics at Newcastle?
