| Let's be honest. Over the last two seasons, the Argyle squad have looked like relegation fodder in about three-quarters of the games they've played-and that includes Carey & Lamerias. Ladapo only looked useful in about half his games and was lucky to keep his place early in the season. If Ryan Lowe can't get better players in than any who choose to leave, it's a bad job. |

They are having a pop at each other over whether Mrs Carey hates it here. I was under the impression she liked it here, hence Carey signing when he did ?.
Someone reporting she has shared a house and garage clearance on Instagram. The plot thickens !!. I was under impression She hates it here. I thought she like it here as village said hence signing when he did what she didn’t like at a quess was him slipping a length to that maid over saltash maybe |

| Shame to see Carey go if that will be the case, at his age though he will be thinking of himself, his immediate family and what is best for them all. If he stays then fair shout, Lowe should be able to get the best out of him.
Whatever happens, Lowe will bring in replacements for those that have left, and those that may (will) leave, so I am not too worried about it.
I wonder what sort of budget Lowe will have to play with ?.
I would expect the likes of Bradford City, Port Vale, Oldham Athletic, Swindon Town, Crew Alexandra, Northampton Town, Salford City and Leyton Orient to do well this coming term.

| OK so there is a Bulgarian fella on another forum I post on so I asked him, what could Carey expect in Bulgaria? - Quote :
- Historically CSKA are the biggest club in BULGARIAN football. They have never won anything in Europe but they played in the European Cup semis twice. They also produce most of the mega-players, for example Stoichkov, Letchkov, Berbatov, Petrov, all these people broke out at CSKA. Their traditional rival is Levski Sofia, together they form the BULGARIAN equivalent to the Old Firm, ur man can expect a really serious Eastern European derby with open warfare in and around the stadium
This historical success was driven by the fact that CSKA was the Communist Party's club of choice, CSKA stands for Central Sports Klub of the Army, they play in all red, the crest is a red star, it is definitely the socialist club of the land, I like them too though for reasons of birthplace I follow a different, less successful futbol club called Cherno More Varna.
Organisationally, they are a mess. Basically four years ago they went bankrupt and had to go into liquidation. As a result there are now two CSKAs, one plays in the First Division the other in the Second but they will go up, when this happens they will play each other for sure It is owned by a man called THE LITEX who has delegated the day-to-day running to Gigi Becalli (google him, he often appears in news articles about nutty foreign club owners he used to run Steaua Bucharest before).
They are guaranteed to go through at least 3 managers next season, it does not matter if they play well, this year they finished second which was amazing for them and they still sacked three. They tend not to hold foreigners for more than 6 months, mostly because the foreigners they get are absolutely shit. Tbh I mean no offence but I would describe the switch from League One as a serious step, the team CSKA will want to challenge is Ludogorets Razgrad, they play in the Champions League group stage fairly regularly, CSKA are only marginally worse (a point separated them this season).
It's a pretty cool football club tbh especially if you are into communism, however I doubt he will stay long. I do not know if he is any good but they have a massive turnover of foreigners, essentially they buy them in bulk at the start of every season then they get rid of the ones they do not need in winter. I do not know what the justification of this practice is, probably some kind of shady deal with an agent
If I were him I think I'd stay on these shores..... |

| The Herald has done a follow on story about Devitt- Midfielder Jamie Devitt is thought to be a target for new Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe after turning down a new contract at Carlisle United. Blackpool and Swindon Town have also been linked with the attack-minded 28-year-old by respected national journalist Alan Nixon. Devitt was Carlisle’s second top scorer in League Two last season with 11 goals, three behind striker Hallam Hope. The Dublin-born midfielder made 130 appearances in three seasons for the Cumbrians. Lowe has built a reputation for the exciting brand of football that he favours and Devitt would fit into that. Devitt was offered a new contract by Carlisle at the end of last season that would have made him their highest paid player. However, United’s director of football David Holdsworth confirmed on Monday that Devitt would be leaving. He told the club’s official website: “We did what we could with a very good offer to try to tempt Jamie to stay but his agent has been in touch this afternoon to confirm that the player has decided to turn it down. “Jamie is a great lad and we wish him all the very best as he moves on to a new challenge.” Devitt, a winner of the Carlisle Players’ Player of the Year award for the past two seasons, has started to follow Lowe on social media site Twitter. | One ex rumour how desperate are they for a back up......
Bristol City are set to sign Colchester United goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin. The 32-year-old is close to joining Lee Johnson’s side, as per a report by Bristol Live.
Gilmartin, who is a former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, is out-of-contract at Colchester and is set to leave the League Two side on a free transfer
Championship outfit Bristol City have been in the hunt for a new goalkeeper or two in preparation for the next campaign and seem to have found their man in Gilmartin. The 6ft 5inc shot stopper will provide some back-up and competition in that department.
The Dublin-born ‘keeper started his career at St Kevin’s Boys before moving to England to join Walsall. He initially had loan spells at Worcester City and Hednesford Town prior to making 39 appearances for the Saddlers.
Gilmartin signed for Watford in 2010 and was mainly used as a back-up during his time at Vicarage Road. He had loan stints at Yeovil Town and Crawley Town before Plymouth Argyle snapped him up for a season in 2012.
He returned to Ireland with St Pats Athletic for two years and then moved back to Watford in 2014 as back-up.
Gilmartin joined Colchester in 2017 and has enjoyed playing regular football for the U’s but is now set to link up with Bristol City. He is likely to be the Robins’ first signing of the summer.
And Tranmere are in for Ryan Edwards

The final pieces of stench from the Brent regime leaving the club. A little bit when I de flea my dog.
Hopefully when we start the season the club will be cleansed. |
